alright, i got my nose pierced in march, for the
second time, the first time i took it out too soon
and it closed up. anyways, ive had it in for about
5 months, i had a fake nosering in, the one they
pierced me with in the first place, but im really
sensitive and cant have anything fake in my nose,
so i put in this solid white gold ring and it was
doing completely fine, for 5 months. then recently,
within the past week theres been this bump outside
my nose, i woke up this morning and it was HUGE.
so i took out the ring and put some cleaning stuff
on it, and now its all puss filled, i know it sounds
gross but if you have alot of piercings youd be used
to hearing this kind of stuff, anywayss.
tomorrow my mom is taking me to get it lanced?
is there anything i can do in the meantime to help
the swelling and stuff, is it possible to keep the
ring in? i rly dont want to close it, again.

I had it the first 6 months I got it. They come and go. I'm extremely sensitive to non-real metal as well. It's completely normal. When I got my nose pierced- I went back the first time it happened, and they said just to clean it, and don't mess with it. It goes away in a few days.
Take out your nose ring, wasg your nose, 2 times a day, and let it go.
Whatever you do though, don't take your nose ring out. It's really bad to keep pierce the same part of your body again. The bone hardens, and then breaks.
Alli answered Sunday July 9 2006, 8:48 pm: Dear Piercens Problems,
I think your best bet is to have it close again and then do your standard procedure once more, I DON'T think you should put the ring back in your nose. I do think that you should let it out and then have it close and then try it again.
Good Luck!!
*ashlee* answered Sunday July 9 2006, 8:09 pm: you dont need to get it lanced. that happened to me when i got my nose peirced, and my belly button, and on one of my cartilages. haha just take a clean needle and poke a hole in it, hold a paper towel or rag on it, and keep it clean. you dont need to pay money for something you can do yourself. you can keep the ring in, as long as you keep it clean too, and make sure it doesnt scab into one place or anything. Try to keep the swelling down by ice packs and make sure it's clean. That's all you can do really before you seek help tomorrow.
Hopefully you won't need to retire your piercing either. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
Exquisitechick answered Sunday July 9 2006, 7:33 pm: Alright, so i have 16 piercings and i am pretty good at taking care of them.
I had a bump in the inside from my nose ring, and it turned green once. I know piercers tell you not to do this: But it helped with my tragus piercing and basically all of them except my belly(i didnt try it for that) I put rubbing alcohol on them every day for about a week. I know youre not supposed to do this, cuz it kills new cell growth..But it has always worked for me.
So, maybe you can try that. In the meantime, just dont touch it and play with it.
