I have one. The only bad thing is if you're unlucky enough to get a friction bump. Which most people do anyway. and I still have mine! Basically, it can be caused through moving it around too much, banging it, cleaning it quite hard etc within the first 2 months of having it pierced. It's a bump which looks like it has a white head on top.. but you should NOT pop it. Just soaking it with hot water a few times a day will do the trick. It's a pain yes, but it will be gone soon.
If you're thinking about having it done, I say go for it :) ]
GOOD-
-it looks cool
-adds something to your face
-make face look cuter
BAD-
-it might get somewhat infected
-it hurts
-if u have allergies, it might get the way =]
-eyes may water a little bit after u get it but thats not really a big deal
- might bleed some
I think you should get it though. Theres not that much of danger to it ]
Eh. I disagree with the people below. Since its cartilage there isnt any extreme danger if it gets infected.
But.
I pierced mine myself and I didnt think that it hurt at all, and I did it SLOW. Imagine that, heh. When you get it done at a professional tattoo parlor, it will go in extremely fast and you hardly feel anything. (I got my tongue pierced professionally, and they go super fast, haha) Anyway though. If they pierce it with stainless steel or gold you should be fine. Just make sure that the place is sanitary and they use a piercing needle instead of a piercing gun(their less sterile). When they pierce it they will either give you some stuff to clean it with or tell you that you have to clean it with peroxide or alcohol. There is a possibility that it can get infected, but I believe tahts only if you dont take care of it well. You're supposed to clean it 2-3 times a day, at least. If a bump forms, dont pick at it, like the person below me said. It isnt an infection, its part of the healing process and it will go down. Some people get a bump and some people dont. I personaly didnt get one, but I was fortunate.
If it gets infected and it hurts and begins to form puss(greenish yellowish stuff), you will need to remove the jewelry and clean it out and then let it heal and get it repierced again.
So those are the dangers, if you wouldnt even call them that.
Positive things, hm.
It looks good, I think.
Its adds a little something extra to your face.
Its small enough to cover up or even hide
They make clear nose rings for extra coverage.
It isnt in a spot where it can be easily ripped out (at least I dont think so)
& I dont think its terribly painful.
Heh.
Hope that solved your inquiry. ]
There aren't any dangers, unless you are highly allergic to a metal that they happen to use. Go to a reputable place, and nothing will happen if you do what they say.
The dangers that came about when I got mine done was it will get infected quite a few times before it heals. This will look like a giant red zit. It is normal. Leave it alone, and don't pop it.
That is all. ]
good things
on most people a little nose stud in kinda cute.
nose piercing is very trendy.
if you have a big wart on your chin that people stare at the nose piercing will give it some competition(sorry but i thought it was funny)
bad things
there is some danger of infection if it is not kept clean till it heals.
some people have bad reactions to piercings even if kept clean, though this doesnt happen too often.
a sharp pointy needle is GOING THROUGH THE SIDE OF YOUR NOSE!!!
good or bad things.
parental type people tend to disapprove of nose rings but they disapprove of a lot of things that dont matter. but if this concerns you i guess it could be an issue. ]
i was thinking about it for a while, just a stud, because i think it looks really cool, but then i talked to someone who convinced me not to because
1. it hurts a lot- you're piercing cartalidge, so it's very painful, i know someone who passed out
2. some people find it uncomfortable- especially when you have a cold or runny nose!
3. if you are currently playing a sport, u might not be able to play with it in and for the first few weeks you can't take it out
but it's up to you ]
