How to get my friends off my back about me and my dad showering together!?
OK so I am 15/f and need some advice on how to get my friends to stop bugging me. So i shower with my dad till this day and I see nothing wrong with it nor does he. Its how we bond. Just cuz they dont do it doesnt mean its not normal right? My dad says its cuz they dont have the same bond with their dads as me and him. And they keep telling me stuff i dont need to hear. So my question is how do i get my friends to stop bugging me about showering with my dad

Just as everyone else has said.....showering with your father at the age of 15 and being a female is terribly wrong and definately not normal. I know of absolutely no one who would ever think of this to be normal. You should definately report this to someone you trust. Your father is an adult. He should know this is wrong and he does he's just sick and perverted. Don't do this anymore. If it goes on long enough and someone other than you or him recognizes what's happening and reports it then your father WILL get into serious trouble with the law. He should really be there anyway.

You are 15 years old, You are years past the stage of showering with your parents. This is wrong, This is perverted on your fathers behalf and it is sexual abuse and your father can very well be arrested.
There IS something wrong with it, You are 15 years old you are past puberty and this is your father. It is sick, Your father telling you there is nothing wrong with it sounds like he is manipulating you, He is abusing you mentally and sexually.
Adviceman is correct, Your father can be prosecuted and charged with sexual abuse, Incest, etc.
It is NOT normal to shower with any of your family members at the age of 15, Incest is a very serious charge. I advise you to not shower with your father or anyone in your family. Someone as old as you should not be showering with their parents, In fact I firmly believe a child shouldn't shower with their parents period. It is understandable if a parent had too sit in the bathroom while their 1,2,3 year old is in a bathtub but you are way past that stage. Your father should know better, He should know it is wrong. This is just sick and disgusting.

I'm sorry to tell you this but not only is it not right that you are showering with your dad. Your dad could be prosecuted for a number of different things if the proper authorities were to be made aware of this. I'm not sure if you were to be showering with your mother.if the she is alive and living with you, that the law would condone this. If mom is alive and living with you does she condone this practice.
What you and your dad are doing, as benign as you may believe it to be, will be seen as incest. Incest is against the law. There does not have to be intercourse for a charge of incest. If your father touches you while in the shower that can be seen as incest and child molestation. Two very serious charges which carry long prison terms. Your dad would be lucky to hold his great grand children if convicted.
That is just two charges; add to that child endangerment, leading to the delinquency of a minor and what ever other charges a prosecutor can come up with; it is possible your father could spend the rest of his life in prison.
As for your mother: If she is alive and living with you and your dad. If she is knowledgeable and condoning of this practice she too can be prosecuted.
You find this practice acceptable because it has probably gone on since you were a little girl. Society the world over, at least in developed countries, does not find this practice acceptable.

Hate to say it, but showering with a parent is really not normal once you hit puberty, and I don't understand why you'd even want to- the last thing I want to do is spend time with one of my parents naked haha.
If you want them to stop bugging you, just don't bring it up, and if they do, ignore them. They'll stop eventually. Only thing you can do. But honestly I would stop doing that.

You may not want to hear this, but showering with your dad at the age of fifteen is NOT normal. I guess I would understand if you were under the age of twelve. However, right now you're growing and developing into a woman. You're not a kid anymore, and I'm sure that's visible by now. Can't you bond with dad another way? My dad and I play challenging games of Monopoly together. What I'm saying is don't use bonding time as an excuse because there are a million other ways to bond with daddyo - with your clothes on!
Oh and as for your friends who keep bugging you about it, you probably can't make them stop unless you threaten to stop talking to them. Society frowns upon incestual behavior and while what you and your dad are doing isn't incest, it's close enough to make some people uncomfortable.
