i wanna know
Im a teenage boy, and i always wanted to know why girls dont seem as horny as we do. Maybe it is just me, but i go to highschool filled with hot girls everywhere and it drives me nuts. But the girls dont seem that way towards guys. They seem like they dont even think about boys or sex at all, but why is it that us guys always are more horny?

Okay, girls don really show you how they feel because you know we are a little smarter, and guys you know you guys dont really have a choice as to show how you feel, but any way if you like a girl just ask her on a date, try it out.

First, society tells girls that to be outwardly sexual on the same basis as men is slutty. This is a totally counterproductive attitude and mostly thanks to religion, which has screwed up the sex and social lives of men and women for millenia.
But the other reason is that women are low in testosterone, which controls aggression and the sex drive, while guys are much higher in it. There are also evolutionary protocols for women's behavior, chief of which is having healthy children and a support system under which to nurture them. So that makes women more selective. This was very well covered on the History Channel program, "Wired for Sex."
The dichotomy here is that women are sex objects to men and men are economic objects to women. Make bank and you will make it with more women.

Reading the answers below sounded like they were all coming from a guys point of view. I'm not saying any of them were actually wrong but I'll give it to you from my point of view being female and all.
Horny?! Heck yeahh, but the way I was told to act was to walk around pretty much like your shit don't smell. We're told that *ALL* boys will take advantage of us. Not saying you all do.
We also, like to keep things to ourselves and our girlfriends. Have you ever walked by a girl, scratch that we're in packs. Have you ever walked by a pack of girls giggling? We can be giggling about ANYTHING but we do talk about guys alot!!
Someone else mentioned girls and being pregnant. I think this is one of the bigger reasons and I was just telling on of my guy friend this the other day. A guy can go into any drug store and buy a condom. Girls on the other hand, we have to make a doctors appointment and the doctor does all this feeling around and awkwardness and then will prescribed you the pill (most of the time). Then, you take that pill everyday. It's nothing like when you want sex you take it like a condom.
Seems like a lot of work, for some teenage fun, huh?
Lastly, I think overall guys are just more hornier than girls will ever be but girls are. We hide it very well. =]

Here is another hint: Boys can't get pregnant, girls can. So while they may be as horny as any boy they may be very reluctant to do something about it with a boy.

Explaining even a hint of the inner workings of women would take too much effort, so I'll just say you're wrong. Women work a little differently than guys when it comes to sex and attraction, but not by enough that plenty of girls don't spend all day going crazy with sexual frustration, especially during puberty.
If you know how to read the signs it's quite entertaining when you realize that the girls are just a little (not all that much) better at hiding it than we are. I'd bet there are plenty of people who see you every day who have no idea how horny you are on a daily basis unless you talk about it constantly.
Girls are expected not to talk about it constantly. Part of the whole "slut shaming culture" thing we've got going on in our generation.

Okay well, i mean, for boys it's pretty much stereotypical. most girls are more reserved about their sexuality and such than boys are.
plus, teenage boys are SO hormonal and that is a FACT. girls mature faster than guys [most of the time] so they know how to control what they feel better and most of the time, it takes longer for girls to get aroused while boys can see a "big" attribute on a girl and suddenly BOOM their minds are on sex and what sex would be like with that girl.

because at that point in your life, you are absolutely jacked with hormones. thats why teenage guys are sex-crazed. I assume its either not as much of a problem for girls, or that they're more reserved about it.
