Hi C.D. I have read everyone elses response and know that just like with everyone else different things work for different people. I have done the 5 and 6 meals per day, as well as eating once per day.

What is comes down to for you to lose weight is simply eating less. This can be done through calorie counting, meal restriction and fasting. I you can keep up with eating 5 or 6 meals that are about 300-400 calories do that.

Finding meals that are only 300 calories is tough but possible. I found it hard myself and stopped. What worked for me was eating three meals per day 4-5 days per week about 400-500 calorie which kept me around 1500-1800 calories per day. the other 2-3 days I would eat one meal of 800-1000 calories.

I don't know your height or weight which would really help so I could say about the calorie range. Here is a great article on eating one meal per day.....<a href="[Link](Mouse over link to see full location) on meal</a>

eat less, eat better and higher quality foods as in skim milk vs 2% kind of idea, and most importantly exercise and LIFT WEIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ive dedicated an incredible amount of time to dieting and improving body composition and body sculpting, because i used to be overweight and i was rock bottom and depressed, I guarentee that lifting weights will not make you bulky or big by any means, females just dont have the body type that a male does to quickly add muscle...
Just make sure to exercise in addition to diet, results will come a lot quicker if you stay true to both, if you really want to, take a fat burner, but its not really necessary, the only people that need fat burners are the people that are trying to lose weight while maintaining/gaining muscle, which youre not realy looking to do

People who are serious about weight loss do not start out by skipping meals. They instead portion out their meals and spread them throughout the day. Skipping meals kills your metabolism. Eating 5 meals a day keeps it running full power all day. Some people even make it 8 tiny meals a day.

Restrict what you eat. Portion it out throughout the day. Drink lots of water inbetween. Pass on sodas and other sugary drinks. Diet drinks aren't any better than regular drinks. Just because they have less calories, doesn't mean they're better because aspartame is the devil. Try and get a little exercise each day.

Personally, I only allow myself to eat a certain amount, and I decide on it before I start eating. I keep a big jug of water at work, and only drink it, ignoring the fountain we have full of bad choices. I make sure to do something that can be considered exercise each day. Either my gilfriend and I take our dogs to walk around the track at the park, or I go to the gym, or I play DDR, or SOMETHING. I can't go to bed comfortably knowing I didn't do anything to better my body that day.

HI,
I was in your position my high school years too. I skipped meals, and let me be the first to tell you, it's not worth it.
You lose everything your body needs...energy, and nutrition etc.

You don't have to skip meals. Eat a healthy breakfast, have some cereal, just don't overeat. For lunch, have some fruit. So many delicious fruits, apples, watermelon, cantaloup, honeydew, oranges, peaches, grapefruit (which happens to be the best fat eliminator), chinese apples, bananas....do you see my point? Find a few that you like, and enjoy them at lunch. This way, you feel good about what you're eating, and you're not starving.

I was depressed most of the time when I wanted to lose weight. But guess what? Being depressed didn't help me achieve my goal. I started walking around my community once a day, every school day, and sometimes on the weekend. I walked moderately fast and slowed down here and there. i usually would walk for an hour. I know, it's boring to walk alone. So, see if any of your friends wanna go for a walk and talk. Or call them up while you're walking, it'll make the time go by much faster.

Think about it, an hour of your time isn't that much.

You will be so happy once you start and see results, and believe me, you will. Also, starving is useless because sooner or later, you will be hungry, and you'll start eating as you normally do, and your body will gain back everything and more.

A bad day should motivate you to start trying to make yourself happy. Happiness is vital to your health.

If you need anything else, or to talk, message my inbox :)
Good luck, you can do it, and it will feel great once you do!

OK I just have to say this first.

DO. NOT. SKIP. MEALS.
It's actually really unhealthy for you, especially if your not used to it.

Set yourself small, achievable goals. Like, only eating three meals a day and not snacking in between, or giving up fizzy drinks. Just start off small. When you achieve these goals, you'll feel better about yourself, and then you can start on your next small goal. It takes a while longer but is so much easier to do long term. After a while you'll have cut a whole lot of crap out of your diet without even realising it.

And when you have bad days (which, trust me, you probably will) and you really just wanna down a whole packet of fudge brownies (mmmm by the way) the thing that helps me is going for a walk and listening to some loud music. (And maybe shouting a whole lot about how I'm not suppose to be eating them) but I dunno, that's just what works for me.

Hope that helped :)

Well, I wouldn't recommend skipping meals as that can be unhealthy. What would work is a combination of dieting(not just controlling what you eat, but how much of it), and exercising. It doesn't even have to be a lot of exercise, just enough to help the diet out a little bit.

It may seem like it takes a while, but most people actually lose weight faster this way than they do by starving themselves. Plus, starvation leads to things like anorexia, which can cause serious permanent damage. And working out will get you into good shape, instead of going from overweight to underweight.

Good luck with getting into better shape. I hope this helped.
