A question about sperm.

Question Posted Wednesday June 16 2010, 10:16 pm

Can sperm travel? Like if my boyfriend came on my leg by my vaginal area can i get pregnant, can it travel towards it? We always have unprotected sex and i was just wondering because he has came in my stomach or once even right next to my vaginal area and i was scared but it was a moment of passion but none got in that area, but i was just wondering if it can?

It's unlikely that you will get pregnant from sperm on your leg.

However, if you don't want to get pregnant, why on Earth are you having unprotected sx?

Just because your boyfriend doesn't ejaculate inside you, doesn't mean you're safe. During sex, 'pre-cum' is produced and this can contain a small amount of sperm.

If you don't want to use condoms then do yourself a favour and look in to birth control - whether it be the Pill, the injection or the implant, there are many options and one is sure to suit you.

Please bear in mind that only condoms offer protection against STDs.

Just DON'T have unprotected sex. It's a reckless and stupid decision. Seriously, get on the pill or have him wear a condom. I know it may be annoying, but taking one pill every day or buying a condom is easier to do than taking care of a child for the rest of your LIFE.

Even if he doesn't cum inside you, there is a slight chance that pre-cum can get you pregnant.

Sperm isn't intelligent; it doesn't have a mental map of where it's supposed to go. So if he cums on your leg, it's probably going to stay there. Just wipe it off quickly.

If you're going to insist on having unprotecterd sex, tell him not to cum anywhere near your vagina, though. The chances of getting pregnant from that are low, but there is a chance.

No, sperm cannot travel from your stomach to your vagina. Or your leg to your vagina. If he cums next to your vagina, say on the lips or something of the sort, there is a slight chance some may enter your vagina and impregnate you.
