okay so i'm a 16 YO girl and i masturbate haha. i like doing it, it feels great and i orgasm every time i do but i feel like i'm the only girl that does it... i mean i always read that girls do it a lot to but i feel like if i told my friends they'd be totally grossed out.
so my question is, do guys know girls masturbate? like if i was with a guy and i told him i masturbate would he be grossed out or think i'm weird or desperate or something? anywayss let me know what you think. thanks!

If your friends seemed grossed out then they may be a little shy about the conversation. Guy love that a girl does that some say "oh that's hot". Guy who don't are usually not in to girls. just remember it's safer then sex. [ SecretDreamer95's advice column | Ask SecretDreamer95 A Question ]

It's normal and healthy and fine if you like doing it and fine if you don't. Stats state that 78% of all females (various ages) do it and 90% of males (all ages).
You're in good company as this activity is pretty much universal with people your age of both sexes. Relax about it. Nobody will think you're depressed or desperate or any of that junk unless they think that of themselves.
Would people be grossed out if they knew? Hardly, and most guys wouldn't think anything of it except that maybe it's too personal to talk about. And you're not weird either as 90% of the population would be... It's highly common and no need to worry because you like doing it.
It teaches you about your own body and how it reacts so that when you're in a committed relationship as an adult you can communicate what you respond to for your partner.
You can bet if your friends were honest that they wouldn't be grossed out because they probably do it to and are thinking everyone else would think what you thought they'd think if you knew.
I WAS ADDING THIS AS YOU GAVE FEEDBACK:
Masturbation doesn't have to be sexual either. Toddlers often do it because it's comforting or they found their genitals much like they did any other part of the body at that stage of life.
Children may do it out of boredom, because it's comforting or due to stress or other problems bothering them. It's NOT okay to masturbate if it becomes all you ever think about or do and you have zero social life or interests outside of that and or were abused etc. [ solidadvice4teens's advice column | Ask solidadvice4teens A Question ]

My boyfriend actually thinks it is hot for girls to do that, so don't worry about what guys think. [ sweetascandy7364's advice column | Ask sweetascandy7364 A Question ]
Teza answered Sunday February 28 2010, 11:30 am: Everyone has at one point masturbated. Don't feel like you are the only girl that does it, because you're NOT. Guys wouldn't be grossed out because they do it too, it's normal and there is nothing wrong with it. Most people are embarrassed to admit that they do and they think that others would be grossed out. To answer your question, yes guys know that girl's masturbate. Most guys won't be grossed out, it actually turns them on and they won't think you're weird or desperate. It's normal and you're not the only one that does it :) [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
