If you want to get pregnant basically on your first time you're crazy... Having a baby is like pushing a basketball out a hole made for a tennis ball... AND if you're a virgin and get pregnant straight away, 9 months is not very long to get your downstairs area used to things going in (or coming out)... WAIT!!! I know you feel like this is what you want or this is what you need, but take it from me, and i would know... It will not hurt you to wait another year or two or three... or ten...

If you want to know if you are able to have kids, you need to go to the doctor. They are the only ones that can tell you for sure. Drinking, drugs & the like will definitely be able to lower your fertility, and is not something you should take part in if you would like to have children.

However, don't just have children because you want to and are able to. Many people take that gift for granted and have children they cannot support when there are a lot of people out there that cannot have children. If you're going to have kids, have them because you're in a serious committed relationship with someone you truly love & care for an d make sure that you're financially stable and very much responsible enough to support them. Children cost a lot of money and are very tiring. Do not make a mistake or try to get pregnant on purpose if you cannot support a child.

There is no way to tell if you can get pregnant or if there is something wrong with him with out going to a doctor. After my first baby it took my husband and I a little under 3 years to get pregnant again. Know idea why. I feel its gods choice weather I get pregnant or not. Now before you say im some religous werido. I dont go to church i dont believe in certain religon or anything like that it is just a feeling.

I know this isnt y our question but I am going to say it anyways. A baby is a lot of work. I was 15 when I had my first child. Do you both have jobs? Are you two going to get your own place together? Diapers, formula, clothing, baby food, etc.

The best thing to do is to go to a gynocologist and have them check you out and make sure there isnt any things wrong with your reproductive system. My biggest advice to you is to make sure you are mature enough to take care of a child. That means not going out with your friends all the time, that having the money to buy diapers, formula, baby food, baby clothes, a stroller, car seat, a crib, and hundreds of other things. And all that is aside from the amount of hospital bills its going to be to have it. One ultrasound costs $500, and you will need several. If you are going to have to rely on your parents help, then you are not ready to bring a baby into this world. A year relationship isnt very long...many things can change in a year. My husband and I have been together for 5 years.

Im not saying that you two will not make it. My husband and I started dating when I wa 16 and he was 17. I just want you to make sure you can handle a baby before you make one because once you have a baby you cant put it back!

I wish you all the best and if you feel like you are ready, then just make sure you talk to your gynocologist and get your insides checked out. If the doctor says its a go, go for it!

Good Luck! =]

Ok, the first time you have sex you shouldn't be thinking about babies. Enjoy the experiance. The other thing I have personaly learned is to be young, having a baby changes everything. Travel, enjoy eachother, have a stable home life before bringing an innocent baby into a messed up situation. The other thing is you should be getting a yearly gyno visit/check that will make sure your internals are all good. Talk to your gyno and ask questions. Have a list and hand it to her. The entire visit is confidential and they can help with birth control too.

Obviously drinking, smoking, and drugs are bad. Some medicines are bad, and stds (i'm guessing thats probably not an issue for you) or yeast infections can also cause infertility. I also heard somewhere that to make sure your child doesnt have any issues, you should be at least 20. I think this is mainly an issue for younger teenagers or teenagers who went through puberty late though so I dont think that will be a huge issue for you. I would recommend talking to a doctor about it or doing some research online about pregnancy do's and donts. There's way too much information for me to put it all in this answer. Good luck though. I hope everything works out for you!
