i like my best guy friend, what do i do?
im 14 years old. in grade 8, about to go into grade 9. i started going to a new school last year. and this guy was just starting too, we have been best friends for the whole year now. i really like him. i told him last year, but he didnt like me back. but now i feel he likes me, but i dont want to tell him again because im afraid he'll say the same thing as he did last time. what should i do?

It may seem a little risky but if you think he likes you and you still like him you could try asking him to hang out. Whether it's your house, his house, the mall, the park, anywhere really. Just try and get some alone time with him. You never know what might come up in your conversations when you are alone. if that doesn't work start touching a lot more. Touching his arms, giving him more hugs, don't touch him sexually though. Touching gives strong signals and if he doesn't like you he might start liking you form all the time you two spend alone together.

I am so glad to help you out and personally I think you should leave it alone. :( I know it's tough to say but if he did not like you last time he probably does not like you this time. If he did he should show some signs. Trust me on this one sweetie, it has happened to me with this guy named Gabe. Same EXACT situation and it never worked out. Now we are not even friends because we went to different schools. You'll find someone else do not worry. Also these other people are wrong, I believe you can possibly be in love with someone in middle school. I personally have a friend who is married to her middle school boyfriend. Hey it is me again, I forgot to tell you that normally girls get a gut feeling if a guy likes them. Also you can tell if he likes you if he has acted any different or sweeter since the last time he did not like you. Also I do not recommend flat out asking him if he likes you, it is a bit creepy and a hard situation to put him in. I would say do it the Elementary school way and get friends to find out but make it completely look like your friends were just asking out of the blue. You do not want him to know you put them up to it. Maybe your friends could say something like "hey, I bet you like .... don't you? You seem to act like you it, do you?" or "Do you like... because you act like you do?"

Young relationships are tough, if you actually think he has some feelings for you. Then follow your heart, not your mind. If he's your bestfriend, you probably know him well enough to know how he expresses his feelings. Just talk to him about it, and just see how it turns out. Trust me, I had the same experience kinda. And I turned out to have one of the best relationships of my life.

just keep being you, if you guys keep getting closer and closer a relationship will just naturally happen
when it comes to relationships with your friends I find that go with the flow has been better- what happens will happen and if he decides all of a sudden he likes you then having previously been informed of your feelings he will ask you out
don't talk to him about it, it might come across as obsessive or too persistent and be awkward/make you feel foolish

I liked my best friend to so, I think I know what you should do. First, maybe give him some clues that you like him, maybe say ( this might sound silly) that you had a dream that you and him were together and you thought it was really cool. His response will give you a clue. Second complement him! Tell him his eyes are gorgeous, lol or, you get my idea?Third go for it!! If, he says the same thing as last year it's alright, at least you tried!!

Maybe text him and ask him how he feels about you. Or just hang out with him and do the same thing.
You will be able to tell how he feels by the way he acts.
