I am having trouble making friends, so i invited someone over for later this week. the problem is my house is pretty boring and i dont know what we should do. i dont want to come off boring and lose the possibility of friendship. what should i do?
As far as what to DO goes, you can:
- Go see a movie.
- Rent a movie.
- Go out to lunch/dinner.
- Cook yourselves lunch/dinner.
^ My best friend and I did this a few weeks ago and had a blast. haha :)
- Go for a walk in the local park.
- Go to the mall.
- Play a board game. (it might sound dorky, but it's a ton of fun!)
- Play Guitar Hero/Rock Band.
- Give yourselves manicures/pedicures (if you're girls, obviously.)

But a good way to entertain is to chat and eat (first most). Before they get there, make sure the place is clean, and gather some tastey snacks around in the kitchen/living room/dining room/your room and when they get there, sit and talk. NO ONE can resist a tastey, free snack unless they're super man, and even THEN...
While you're talking, find out what that person likes to do/watch/read/listen to/etc.
If you have any of their fav music... PUT IT ON!!! Same with shows. Maybe you could play a game, or take a walk. Be free, be you freely. Show them who you are.
Then, invite them over again. I guarentee they'll agree. [ JulieP's advice column | Ask JulieP A Question ]
Andreaaaa answered Monday February 23 2009, 5:47 pm: Well, I could probably come up with some good ideas. It all depends on your age, how many people are coming, boys and girls?, anddd the rules at your house haha. So message me if you wanna talk about this! :) [ Andreaaaa's advice column | Ask Andreaaaa A Question ]
life_luv_music16 answered Monday February 23 2009, 3:32 pm: Well what should do an hour before they come is make sure everything is clean. Then put on a good movie, but not TOO intresting of a movie cause them they might just want to watch the movie the whole time and your suppose to be get to know each other. Also have some nice little snacks on the coffee table while the REAL food is cooking. :^) Some questions to ask is like 'what shows do you watch, what movies do you like, what bands do LOVE, what are your favorite video games' if you have a game system 'like PS2, Wii, xbox' ask 'em if they like video games. If they do, then ask them if they want to play. While your eating, talk some, but not too much unless your BOTH huge talkers. Make sure to tell her that you want to have her over again. Make sure to see how she responds to that. If she seems like she wants to come over again then thats great. But don't be discouraged if she doesn't seem to like you. Just branch out to new people, people that you make have over looked. Don't worry you WILL make friends. :^) [ life_luv_music16's advice column | Ask life_luv_music16 A Question ]
