im happy i guess with my body in general but i hate my stomach fat, its gross. i have a big belly and love handles, and thats what makes my body gross. im so determined to get rid of them. i've been doing situps, backwards sit ups (to loose the love handles) but i dont seem to be getting flatter, my fat is just getting harder (muslce i guess?) but it still looks like fat, not like a 4-pack muscles, i want 4 pack ab muscles instead of just a big blob of fatty muscle, does anyone know what im doing wrong?
oh and i dont really wanna loose weight i mean 10 pounds would be good but i dont think im that fat, just my stomach. thankss.
what you need to do is cardio: running, dancing, biking, even something like jumping jacks. alternating between walking and jogging is said to burn fat quickly. exercise regularly and do toning exercises on top of that, and you should start getting some results
ductape_n_roses answered Monday June 9 2008, 12:36 am: Well, I'm sorry to say but what you're doing are toning exercises. They tone your muscles, increase your muscle strength/endurance. They do NOT help with the fat.
To lose fat, you need to exercise and eat right.
Do aerobic exercises 3-5 times a week (like running) for 30-60 minutes. Continue with regular toning exercises.
Do not eat more than you burn. Get your BMR (Google BMR calculator) which is what your body burns in a day & either eat that much to maintain weight or eat less than that to lose weight (3500 calories is a pound)--if this just confused you, read this and it will de-confuse you =) [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
Or if you want to lose x amount of pounds in x amount of time, go here: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
Be sensible and eat at LEAST 1200 calories a day.
To fill up your calorie intake, fill it up with veggies and fruits. Not chips and chocolate.
With the combination of both, you should see results.

Unfortunately getting your abs to show is only a matter of reducing your bodyfat percentage. That means you have to lose weight. Genetics will determine how quickly that fat comes off your stomach.
The key therefore is with cardio and diet. You need a calorie deficit, you need to eat "clean", and you need to exercise.
LM answered Saturday June 7 2008, 3:26 pm: You can do crunches all you want, but to lose fat you have to change your eating habits or do some cardio.
Also, since you said you don't really want to lose weight, try cutting back on your salt intake and soda. Both can cause bloating, which might be causing your stomach to appear fatter than you want it. Otherwise, just start running more, ride a bike, or walk somewhere. Or get a workout video since it's so freaking hot out now.
