Okay, so i used to think hooking up was sex...most people do. Well some people in my school were saying like "omg jen and bret hooked up this weekend!" (im in 8th grade btw) and i thought wait, its way to early for sex and i asked wait what did they do, they said they made out. So people-boys and girls, of all ages, what in your mind is hooking up?
Jeanne answered Tuesday March 18 2008, 12:53 am: I think it has different meanings in different places. But generally, I think it means any kind of fooling around (from making out to sex) with someone you're not in a relationship with. [ Jeanne's advice column | Ask Jeanne A Question ]

schochie16 answered Monday March 17 2008, 10:48 pm: i think that hooking up is having sex. but i think that you might want to tell these boys not to say that because if someone herd that and went and told their parents or the princibel they could get into a lot of trouble...it honestly, depends on what THEY think hooking up means. but i think that if someone wants to say that they made out or are going out why can't they just say that instead of saying hooking up?!
HiChick answered Monday March 17 2008, 10:06 pm: a lot of people think of it as sex but i think of it as making out. you can say someone hooked up with someone else but they just madeout. so what im saying is most people see it as sex but others see it as making out or going a little farther and messing around if you use it besides for sex just say so-thats what i do. hope i helped :]

mariahneu answered Monday March 17 2008, 10:05 pm: I believe that hooking up is just short term dating - a fling, in other words.
Nothing really serious; no commitment.
But sometimes people that hook-up (fling) too much get a reputation as being a slut or "easy" because they go out with different people so often.
It doesn't mean that you have sex with someone else, it just means you want to got out on a date without the commitments of a relationship. [ mariahneu's advice column | Ask mariahneu A Question ]
