haircut

Question Posted Sunday March 16 2008, 7:13 pm

my hair was probably down to the middle of/almost under my boobs. and it was getting split ends so i went to this really nice haircutting place and they took so much off. it probably has atleast an inch off when i asked for a half. i have really wavy hair & they layered it too, so it looks even more shorter. i hate it when my hairs short.
how much does hair grow in a month!? :(

hair grows generally a half inch a month,
but its different for everyone.
i personally think its cuter to wear your hair wavy, since spring and summer are coming up! straightening it would deffinatly make it look longer, but i wouldn't do it so often if you wanted to grow your hair out.

i heard peppermint oil stimulates the scalp,to help it get healthier, but nothing really makes it grow faster. they just promote growth. don't buy into those expensive pills either, hair grows back :]

if any pills, try "Hair, Skin and Nails"
but, like i said, it only makes hair healthier.
it will still grow a 1/2 inch a month,
but at least it will look better, and not break so often :]

also, invest in some good hair products for wavy hair! like Aussie. it'd be a change. i just started wearing my hair curly, and people love it.

i really hope i helped, good luck hun.:]

Healthy hair should grow a half an inch a month so thats 6 inches a year.

Well at least your hair is healthier now. Split ends seem to slow down hair growth. So don't dye, blowdry, straighten or put too much product in your hair. If you must, then go out and buy a vitamin called Biotin. It makes your hair healthier as well as nails and skin. My hair grew a lot without the trouble of split ends.

It depends on the person but it will take like 3-4 months to see any difference in length.

I've found using banana clips or pulling back the first layer of hair.. makes my hair look longer.

But I think it's good that they layered your hair and cut it shorter, especially for wavy hair. It's just a lot healthier and I'm sure your hair looks amazing at the length.

Actually, wearing it up in a ponytail ALL time promotes breakage, as does any wear and tear you do to your hair (excessive brushing, blowdrying, styling, straightening).

MOST hair grows 1/2 an inch a month. For some people, it grows less than that, and for others, it grows faster. It really depends on the person. Mine grows 3/4 an inch which is really fast.

Keep in mind that what you eat and how much you take care of it definitely influences hair growth. Eat lots of protein (fish, eggs, beans) because it's good for your hair. Lots of stress and medication can hinder growth.

Basically, eat protein and take care of your hair! Sorry they cut too much off. I think they do that because it will grow out nicely. They always cut a little more off of mine, but when it grows out, it looks sooo good.

Hey!
We have all had bad haircuts! Or at least haircuts we dont like. I will tell you that I have cried after every haircut I have ever had in my life! Its interesting, because I dont know why I keep cutting my hair. It takes about a month for hair to grow one inch. You cant really speed it up, but you can get a "trim" every six weeks. That will keep it looking healthy and keep split ends at bay. This way, it will stay healthy while its growing longer.

ps...Im sure your haircut looks beautiful!
