im 13/f, in grade 8, and im only 5'2
i feel so short compared to everyone!!
everyone else is 5'4 and up, and i feel like a grade 6. I know im only 13 and can get my growth spurt, but all my family members are really short, so i doubt i'll grow. Is there still some hope of growing?? and is there something (other than heels) that can make me look and feel taller??
Thanks:)

Depending on where you are now, there should still be room for a growth spurt. People generally stop growing around the age of sixteen, but like you said, most in your family are pretty short, so you may be like this..
If you go to the doctor, and they say there's an issue with a certain gland (I'm sorry, I forget what it's called, but I know it causes growth), there are treatments you'd be able to go through to gain height. However, they require shots and things, so.. Your choice, if you're elegible for it. Just ask you doctor! :P
Um, some things to do to look a little taller would be to wear your pants rolled a tad at the bottom (it sounds weird, but it works sometimes!). Also, be cautious of very long shirts--they tend to make your legs look shorter.
Just remember, there's nothing wrong with being short. We're all unique, and some of us are 'fun sized'. :P

And you may get taller you may not, you just can't be sure yet and besides, being short has it's advantages. Like, sometimes if a cute guy sees your having trouble getting something from a high place he'll help you. A lot of guys open doors for me because of it. :p Also, a lot of guys like short girls so, even if you don't get much taller, make your height work for you. Hope I helped. That's crazyy I'm 15 and I'm only 4"11 so if you think 5"2 is short its not especially for a 13 yr old . Is being 'TALL' the "IT" thing now a days ? Who cares if everyone else is 5"4 or w.e I'd kill to be 5"2 you shouldn't try to do anything to be taller your fine and your only 13 you have a long ride to go till you stop growing. Like the reply before me says, you can work on your posture, which has many benefits. It also strengthens your core (abs) which is like a 24/7 ab workout!!
Anyways, guys really DO prefer shorter girls. No lie. Don't worry that everyone around you is taller. Trust me, you'll get used to it. I'm short too, but I don't even notice how tall people are anymore. [ ellegirl606's advice column | Ask ellegirl606 A Question ]
soundslikepink answered Saturday March 15 2008, 8:41 am: I'm not saying this just to make you feel better, but a ton of guys prefer short girls. I'm a fairly tall girl (5'9"), and I've had guys flat out tell me that I was way too tall for their liking. When I asked them why, they told me they liked their girls short and petite. So no matter what your height or weight is, there's always going to be people who love it and people who don't love it. The key is to be happy with yourself and screw what other people think.
To answer your question, there are several options to make you look and feel taller. The first and most important option is to work on your posture. Stand up straight with your shoulders back. Not only will that make you feel taller, but good posture has been linked to increased self esteem, lowered chances of depression, and having fewer back problems later in life. Plus, everyone should stand tall and be proud regardless of their physical appearance.
Another option is to wear your hair up. That instantly adds at least a couple inches to your height and there are a lot of cute and fun ways to style your hair up. Browse magazines or go to a stylist to get some tips! Besides wearing heals, how about wearing boots (which I LOVE and recommend EVERY girl do because they're very empowering) or you could rock vintage platform shoes like the Spice Girls did in 1997. Everyone loves a trend setter.
Lastly, if you really want to give the illusion of added height, wear a solid color from head to toe. Why do you think supermodels wear all black or all white while they strut down the runway? It makes them look 6'0" instead of 5'10". It also makes them appear thinner, which might be an added bonus. Give it a try and see what works best for you. You don't have to be tall to feel tall and that's what you need to work on in my opinion. I'm sure you look fine. :)
