Join sports or any kind of club so you will get the interaction you need to meet new people. If you are in class ask someone for a pencil (even if by chance you already have one), this is a conversation spark that always works. IF you see someone sitting by themself at lunch, go over, and ask them if you can sit by them.

Be outgoing, and start chatting to people in your classes.
Don't try too hard and remember- SMILE!
People feel relaxed and welcome around you if you smile :)

Be really outgoing. I know that I wouldn't want to be friends with anyone boring, who doesn't talk or anything.
Just go up to people in your classes and talk to them. Some of them may think you're weird, but it could work out in the long run.

If you join clubs or partake in sporting events then you're sure to meet people. The more activities you involve yourself in , the more people you will meet and make friends with.

Don't do anything stupid to make friends though. If something doesn't feel right then it probably isn't. Go with your conscience on some stuff...
