yes. its called being lightweight. the smaller you are, the bigger the amount of alcohol is in proportion to your body. the bigger you are, the smaller the amount of alcohol is in proportion to your body.

Generally- yup, that's the case.
But I'm pretty small/thin myself- about 96 lbs and 5'3 and it takes me 4 or 5 shots just to get tipsy.
I guess sometimes it just depends!

Well, I'm short [5'1] and small [100 pounds at the most]. I had to have about 6 or 7 drinks to get a buzz. But for my sister, it was way different. I think it just depends on the person. Maybe they do get drunk faster but in my experience.. it doesn't seem to apply.

uisforukelele answered Saturday January 5 2008, 4:02 pm:
that is true. stuff like that depends on your body weight- naturally, if you are really skinny, alcohol enters your bloodstream faster than if you were a body builder. that's why some people are called "lightweights"- it's because they are smaller and the alcohol affects them faster.

Don't know if it's necessary low tolerance, but it's generally true. I'm pretty skinny, and it takes no time at all for me to get super trashed. It could be like the person below me said. The alcohol just goes through your system faster. :P

orphans answered Saturday January 5 2008, 10:51 am:
well it could be true because it might take more time if you are bigger and fatter because it might take more time to get through your body and if you are a stick it might just go straight down you good luck
