Siren_Cytherea answered Monday December 17 2007, 12:05 am: Pushups are NOT easy. I've been working out for years and I can only do like, 25 in a row.
One great trick is to do pushups at different angles. Instead of doing them against the floor so you're parallel, try starting with twenty pushups against the wall. Make sure you keep your back straight, and your arms go at 90 degree angles. Once those are ridiculously easy, tilt your body more.
You could also try the "girly" pushups, on your knees instead of your toes. They're easier, but they still work your body, and help you work up to being able to do real pushups.
Good luck

plume answered Sunday December 16 2007, 9:43 pm: your coach can teach you how to use free weights, they help A LOT!! i used to swim too, and i had the loose swimmer's shoulder, so to build muscle i made it a daily routine of free weights everyday(if you can't make it to the gym), and keep record of your limit and not to overdo it. you notice results really fast if you keep it up, and repetition counts more than the actual weight you're lifting. i used 2 pounds and lifted a lot, and it gets tiring! plus awesome results :) [ plume's advice column | Ask plume A Question ]
dancedance42 answered Sunday December 16 2007, 7:09 pm: keep practicing doing push ups.
you can also try lifting weights or bench press-ing
but the best way to get better at them is to keep doing them
