definetly not youll regret it. im asian too and i used to have volumeless hair and a few years ago i started straightening it because there were parts that werent straight and now my hair has lots of volume, but its also not too good cause it gets poofy a lot ..so maybe if you start to straighten or blowdry it you will get more volume. a tip is to blowdry your hair upside down, that usually makes your hair have more volume or shampoo for more volume could work too ]
No! Lol. Be proud of your asian hair. I'm Chinese, btw.
Truthfully, I think you have to damage it some-- this doesn't mean frying your hair. No, what you should do is blow-dry your hair (assuming you don't already)... use the curling iron even to just straighten your hair... cut your hair to a style that makes your hair seem thicker, with layers. Around shoulder length or perhaps a bit longer.
Shampoo and condition (preferably higher-quality volumizing types) every day. Towel dry, then use a bit of mousse... blow dry, and while blow drying, brush out from the roots. Flip your hair upside down and brush. Then, you can spritz some hairspray through your hair. Toss your hair.
Tell me how it works. :)
All in all, don't shave your hair, unless you really really want to. ]
Absolutely not, I mean, if that's really what you want to do, by all means go ahead and do it. But for only the sake of having "silky, limp, volumeless" hair, simply -- no. This can totally be fixed by products. I recommend John Frieda's Frizzease, they have wonderful products. If you want specifics, send me an inbox question and I'll be happy to help. =) ]
You "should" do whatever you like! If you really feel that that's what you want to do, go ahead. Personally, I would not wear a wig, but simply keep it shaven...a lot of people may think that's bold, and think that you're very cool for doing it. Or they could not, it really depends on which people we're talking about. But you shouldn't care what they think, it's for you, so if you want to wear a wig go ahead. Somebody else suggested using different hair products, which is also great. I got Sunsilk's Hairapy (the anti-poof kind, since that's what I need) and it worked really well, so if they have one for volume, I recommend that. A lot of other brands have different shampoos for different kinds of hair, so look at all of them. ]
Getting a wig should be your LAST option.
There's SO many volumising products on the market including shampoos/conditioner/creams etc. Go out and look at them - see which is best for your hair type. They aren't expensive.
Also, try blow dying your hair from the roots and use a barrel brush to make it look less limp. You can also back comb your hair at the roots. Not alot - just enough to give it oomph. Then fix it into place with hair spray.
It could be worth getting your hair cut specifically to give the illusion of bigger hair. Ask your stylist to do it and to add textures.
Have a little look here to see if there are other tips for you

No because what if you want to have sex, and the wig falls off, and then the guy sees you with a bald head going down on him, yeah thatd be pretty freaky if you ask me. Dont shave off your head. its a hassle i mean you would regret it. who cares if you have asian hair. there are plenty of products that can make it so you can have volume, im sure someone out their in the world they have things for asians that probably help asian's and there hair, yeah.
so dont shave your hair! ]
