I swear I do/say the WORST things when the dude I like is looking! But, then it usually comes off as cute. And even if you say the stupidest things, that's who YOU are, and you want a guy to like you for you. And they probably aren't even stupid, it just seems so in your mind, since you're nervous about it.
As for keeping a conversation alive, find out what the guy likes, and let that subject feed the conversation. If it starts to die out, don't let it! Quickly think of something new to say or ask.

okay i used to have the sameeee problem, but like if you just relax and dont overthink it, like just go with the flow. and dont worry if you think the things you say are stuiped, your being your self and nobody can like hate you for that.

When I talk to my guy friends, Luke and Corwin, I always start out with, "Did you see this episode of blahblah?" Then go with the flow. And sometimes I start with, "What goes in may not COME OUT!!!!" HAHAHA! I like making perverted jokes, which most guys do! Try it!

Just talk to them like you would your friends relax a bit.
Talking to them isnt any different to talking to a girl, only jus different things to talk about, i think anyway.
It will probably take some getting used to if you dont talk to them much.

Just pretend you are talking to one of your best friends. Try to be confident, and playful at the same time. It will take some practice, but just pretend that they are just a friend.
