Actually, it is a wise thing to do if you are going out with a guy you just met.

If he turns out to be some sort of weirdo, it would be nice to have your friend and her boyfriend there to look out for you.

honestly it would be kinda akward because your friend and her boyfriend would probably be all over each other and you and your date dont really know each other so youll just be sitting there like uhh whats up? but then again it could be a fun experience...id do it just to learn about the different guy but it could be akward still. hope i helped.

It sounds like a great idea! Double dates can be a lot of fun... especially when it's with a guy you've just met, because then you don't have to worry about the awkward silences that can sometimes happen when you're alone with someone you don't know that well.

One thing, though; if your best friend and her boyfriend are the type that are all over each other on dates, you might want to ask her to hold back a bit on this date, because that could make it kind of awkward for you and the other guy. But otherwise, it sounds like a good time. Have fun!

I'm doing it tonight. I don't know if I like the guy, so it is good for me so that there isn't a whole whole lot of pressure. BUt then again, they aren't official juuust yet.

I think that might be a good idea, this way if the date turns out bad you'll have your best friend at your side.

Hope this helps,
