Is God real? I'm a raised catholic, but I for about 2 years now I've felt atheist/agnostic.
How do you know it's YOUR god that's real? What if there are many gods? what if there's a goddess?
just give me some proof.
because a lot of times i feel guilty for not being religious and i feel like i should be religious. But I don't want to save myself for marriage and I masturbate which makes me think that I shouldn't be a christian! Can i still be a christian even in spite of those 2 things?
please just give me advice.

proof. well, if you have a bible, there's an awesome place to start. no one is prefect, and i think that that is something that everyone should realize. just because of those two things, that definatlely doesn't mean that God doesn't love you! he cares for everyone no matter what they do.

Is there such a thing as love or puppies or drama or expectation or Disneyland? Prove it! Think about how you would go about proving any of those things...it's all about experience isn't it. Experience is what we have in life and little else and that is how we come to know anything for ourselves, even the concept of God. No one can taste the apple for you. Why do you think God would put that tree of knowledge of good and bad right in the garden with the tree of life? They go together and cannot be separated. Whether you think of the Bible as literal or not, start with your own grasp of reality and then keep stretching your mind until you realize how small and wonderful it is to be human.

Your faith in God is being shaken, I know what thats like. Like at times I'm like "How do you KNOW God is real?" But trust me. If you honestly think about. "How else would we be here on Earth if God wasn't real". There's never FULL proof for anything, but you've just got to believe.
Yes, you can still be a Christian if you mastrubate and yes you are still a Christian if you have sex before marriage. Having sex before marriage is a sin though.
My Dad has this book and its "Questions About God" or something liek that. And one is "Does God not want us to have sex" and the answer was "God does, but he wants us to be pure until we're married, like the Virgin Mary. But God gave us these sexual feeligns for a reason" Sounds weird, but its true!

whoever said the earth is a perfect circle is wrong. the technical term is an oblong sphere which means its wider than it is tall. so no God did not create a perfect circle. i was a fairly strong believer until i took earth science in school and the stuff they tought made more sense than what the bible says. i consider myself a cristian despite those things. my religion doesn't control my life. im not really religious but i have a religion if that makes sense. i don't go to church. but i pray from time to time, have to say it never worked. i believe in jesus but im still not totally with the God theory. i think you can believe whatever you want. the point of a religion is to believe whatever they tell you no matter if other people think it's real or not. there is no proof of God. jesus is more of a possibility and i watched a show where they explained how it was scientifically possible for the red sea to part. i think that when these strange events happened in history the people at that time didn't have an explanation for it except that it was caused by a greater force. they called it God, i call it nature. the earth is powerful, things happen. i'd like to think there was a goddess and a woman controlled the world.

Ok im a christian and im 14 and im having a hard time figuring out things, and all the doubt and things, ok i think God is real, because he has done alot for me, and i can feel his presence in my heart and my mind, like the Bible says he will do, i guess to get proof you can pray to God, and ask him to show you that he is real, I don't think there are many gods or that we are all worshipping the same god, i think possibly satan puts out all the lies to get us away from the truth and into false religions so we die and go to hell and stay there forever with him, and i've noticed alot of agnostic catholics, i think they feel as though they can never get to know God, and that he is to big and powerful to understand, but it isnt a true, read your Bible, pray and you'll feel God's presence, and also the whole masturbating, sex thing WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!!!

The scientific answer to your question is No, god is not real. But for the believers, he is real, it all depends on your opinions, and beliefs. I personally don't believe, because there is NO proof, some people may say that the Bible is proof, but it isn't.. for it is a story, not a historical record.

yes God is real. the reason i know God is real, is that there is no one else, human, or anything thing, that can draw a perfect circle. what i mean by that is look at the earth, its a perfect circle. there is only but ONE God. thats it. if you read in the bible, for example the 10 commandments, the first one says"thou shall have no other God before me". now if you think of that in heavenly terms, not earthly, God is saying ok, im the one and only God. the rest are of satan/the devil. so worship me, and me only. now when moses brought down the 10 commandments from the mountain. he saw that the people he led out of egypt where worshipping a cow and etc... and God had just said, "thou shall have no other God before me". not a good thing. i think they were in the desert alil while longer than that. i cant remember, but i can remember what i just told you. now, you said that you don't wanna save yourself for marriage. girl, you're 14 YEARS OLD! my God have mercy. 14... bible says that sex is only suppose to be done to make kids, and kids only. (strike one againist gays lol) and not for pleasure. masturbating, is a type of sex correct? you cant make kids can you? nope, so its wrong to do that. yes you can still be a chrstian, in spite of those 2 things. BUT you must ask God to forgive you/repent of your sins. you must ask jesus into you're heart. then you must be baptised. but i pray that you seek God, pray to God, say'" God i dont know if you're real, but i pray you give me a sign that shows you're real, in the name of jesus i pray amen." simple as that. not hard. i hope this helps.

Personally, I've always believed that we all worship the same God. Whether you are Christian, Muslim, or any other religion, it's really one God. God could really be a Goddess, as you pointed out.
The Bible is proof. Yes, some of it is made up. However, there is scientific proof for a lot of the stories in it. For example, Noah's Arc. There is proof that there was a gigantic flood throughout the Earth. The story of Noah is logical because the flood would've wipped out all life unless someone built an arc and brought animal onto it and whatnot.
Even though you masturbate and don't want to wait until marriage, you still can be a Christian. Do you believe in Jesus Christ? Do you believe in Heaven? Those are the things that make you Christian.
All in all, there is no way to be 100% sure there is a God. When we die and end up in heaven, I guess we know God is real.

Hey. It's okay to be curious sometimes about God, I am sometimes, because it's hard to imagine something or someone with so much power and good. However, there is no real way to prove which God is the God. You just have to keep your faith in your heart and know that the God you pray to every night is your God. Don't feel guilty about not being super religious. I'm not either but I pray and honor God in my own way. Don't be afraid to ask questions, a priest or even somebody who attends your church will be able to sit down with you and help you out if it's that important. Good luck ♥ fabulous

I am not a Christian however I can answer at least part of your question. I know that you have been raised a Catholic and that you will believe that there should only be one true God as many religions believe. This statement has caused a lot of fighting between religions which I do not believe that any higher being would want.
My opinion on this matter is that no matter what religion you belong to, you believe in the same higher being, whether you call him God, Allah, Buddah or whatever. So try not to worry about that so much!
As for masturbating I don't think that you shouldn't be a christian for doing this - you are young and exploring your own body.
As for the whole saving yourself for marriage - I think it is very very important to wait until you are in a longterm, loving, secure relationship before taking this next step and if that means you wait until you are married then so be it however, you will know when the time is right for you and if it's before marriage then as per your religion ask God for forgiveness.
