Inhaling Calories

Question Posted Wednesday July 18 2007, 10:24 pm

You know the drill, a family members making cake, or bacon, the smell is so powerful its almost impossible to not smell.

So you take a deep breath inhaling the fantastic smell right before you ask "whats cookin'?"

Anyways, is it possible that when you took that deep breath that you've inhaled calories?

I know the amounts are insignificant if any, but is it possible?

Nope. The only thing it would make you do is make you want some, then you would eat it and take in calories:]

There are "calories."

But it's really insignificant.

Not until you eat that fantastic bacon, would you actually be taking the calories in.

I'm pretty sure no. Honestly when I want something I don't let myself have, like if I just ate and I want something like penut butter or ice creme.. I smell it. I seriously smell everything I eat before I eat it. It gives me sorta the preview taste. But smell all you want, you won't gain weight.

straight up if calories were inhailable i would be morbidly obese. i dont believe you could actually inhale calories. when you smell something "good" it sends certain signal to your body which makes you think yummmmmmm.....but thats all it is just a signal to your brain nothing more.
