Hey I have a question about clothes. What kind of clothes should I wear to be more attractive to girls. I have most of the basics of dress down but just wanted some tips. Any advice is appreciated. 16/M
uisforukelele answered Wednesday July 11 2007, 11:37 pm: i don't know what your particular style is, but i love it when guys wear nice shirts, like button down shirts and make it look casual. they don't have to be expensive clothes or anything, just as long as you feel and look completely comfortable in them. i can tell when somebody really feels comfortable in their clothing, and that's what is attractive to me. of course, a lot of girls go for stores like hollister and abercrombie and stuff... but that's a little bit overplayed to me. of course, if you love the clothes, wear them. however, it really impresses me when guys wear nice, perhaps ironed shirts and just jeans or whatever. it makes it look really casual when you push a long sleeve dress shirt up to your forearms. i think that's attractive too. you will attract the nice girls if you present yourself as somebody that they can introduce to their mother. as a matter of fact, i have a friend who i don't know very well or see very often, but he is very clean cut and presents himself well (and treats girls with respect!), and my parents like him way better than my other guy friends who just present themselves as "whatever"... so keep that in mind. Some things are a given though. Don't just focuse on your clothes though. Girls like guys that have nice body and clothes that show them off without the guy looking gay.
If you plan a date with a girl, wear a suit without a tie. Girls like the idea of a really romantic date and suits and tuxes go with that.
Unless you happen to just be hanging out somewhere. But I mean a real date. Not just hanging out.

Some of guys where I live do the look I'm going to tell you to go with. And I think (my opinion so no offense if someone disagrees) that these looks can look better than your average polo and jeans. (Even though that is a good look too)
Personally I like guys who shop at Express and Armani Exchange. Button down shirts, regular tees, paired with great jeans can make any guy look really good. Polos from Abercrombie and Hollister are good too, but I mean so many guys are wearing that. I love it when guys are different than that and wear something like a button down and a good pair of jeans. (Some people might be like button down are you kidding? But if you look at the websites for Armani Exchange and Express they have nice examples in the pictures of the button downs that don't look cheesy at all). Plus Express and Armani Exchange are about the same price (maybe a tad more) than the other places, but depending on where you live people might be wearing Abercrombie and Hollister and it might be a plus to be different and wear Armani Exchange.
Plus you could pair the shirts with a nice jacket besides a hoodie, so you could have a hoodie for one day and a nice jacket for another. Seriously though, the Abercrombie look, American Eagle look, and Hollister look, are good looks with the polos and jeans, but I totally think a lot of people wear that. Individuality is what stands out to me, so try going with the stores I mentioned. You'd stand out if where you lived everyone wore Abercrombie and Hollister.

chloekc answered Wednesday July 11 2007, 7:42 pm: I personally love guys in polos like abercrombie and fitch or RL with a nice hoody or jumper and all my friends do too. But then again we're english and are in love with preppy style guys! You're probably American/Australian lol so i don't know exactly what American/Aus girls like, sorry:(. But to be honest girls don't mind as long as you look nice in it and smell nice.. Take a look at some celebs that girls always 'drool' over, like Zac Efron etc, he dresses pretty well! Get a good hair cut and wear some trendy clothes that are in atm.
I think scent is the key though, if you smell really nice, girls go wild8-)
Cute smile helps too:)

But really, I think anything that looks washed & fits him is attractive. Try color coordinating it. Sounds a bit weird, but if you match it looks 100% better. Personally, I like just jeans and a tshirt. I really like polos on guys & striped shirts with collars. It really depends on your own personal style & what looks best with your body type. A lot of my guy friends wear jeans & regular shirts from American Eagle. They have a really neat selection of clothing & they're casual. Also, they aren't too expensive.
MzJENNiFER answered Wednesday July 11 2007, 7:34 pm: It depends on the girl you are trying to attract. I prefer if a guy is wearing layered shirts with cute pants; anything layered; preppy kind of look; or emo. hehe. [Can't help it. They are hot] Long tee's are in. Also shirts with cute saying are adorable. Sweater vest are good. Maybe if you mixed up your style it would appeal to more than one clique. Now I am not saying to change your personality every day but just your style. Just diversify.
