Okay, so I've been single for well, a long time and the only two boyfriends I had, well, it wasn't much different from just being friends with them. Which means:
1. I haven't had my first kiss.
2. I get nervous and shy when it comes to that kind of stuff.

About a week ago I started going out with my current boyfriend. And he actually wants to do stuff with me, like, he invites me to his house and puts his arm around me and stuff.
He had another girlfriend that he went out with for a long time, so I'm sure he knows how to be a good boyfriend.
The thing is, I'm not really sure about how to react to that stuff. Like, I want to be a good girlfriend, but I don't know how. Like, I think he wants to kiss me, but when I think about it, I don't know how to go about doing it. (link)
To me the first kiss is a bit of a hype. Once you've done it, it's like rightttt what was i worrying for?

- Don't TRY to be a good girlfriend because trying too hard is going to result in not being yourself, which is seriously never the right way to go! Just be truthful.
- You may seem nervous, but i can tell you he'll be feeling it too!
- To be honest i've learnt the hard way that being shy really doesn't get you anywhere in life. You need to be confident in yourself then you'll have confidence in your relationship.
- There is no 'right way' to reacting to a kiss or anything like that, if you like it smile and enjoyy lol.
Anyway if your boyfriend had a long relationship with his ex he's probably self conscious too as he has been used to that girl for ages and now he's with a completely different girl who likes different things.

Just see how it goes, be confident and be yourself, it will happen soon enough and trust me, you'll wonder why you ever asked these questions, lol!

I really am not trying to sound conceited and brag to everyone that i'm pretty, I have better things to do. But adults always say that i'm very pretty and that I have the body and face to be a model and everything. But boys just don't seem to notice me. Like if you looked like a model, wouldn't alot of guys like you? For example, [I DONT LIKE MY COUSIN BEFORE U READ THIS!], my aunt was like fixing my boy cousin's hair and was like "oh there now you look cute, i'd date you if I was your age" then she is like "jamie would date you, if she wasn't your cousin" [im jamie] He's like "HAHA yeah but I wouldn't date HER" Then another time at school this girl is like "you're really pretty" and a guy was sitting with her and he just laughed. Why don't guys think i'm hot? i'M confused! By the way, i'm going into 8th grade. (link)
Guys don't really know what they're looking for in a girl when they're in 8th grade. However harsh it sounds towards them (i'm sorry if any of you are reading this, granted you're not all like this8-)) but guys at that age are only looking for a girl to do things with and experiment. They're not always looking for the 'pretty' girls, but usually the easy girls. The reason adults say you're pretty is because they're looking at you through their eyes, mature eyes. I used to get so many complements off older people (18 and up) because i looked more mature and developed than what guys my age where looking for (short skirts and skinny girls) and i had basically no guys what so EVER after me! Now that i'm in the 'older teen' group i get more looks and complements off guys my own age because they've grown up and actually want a normal girlfriend (as they care more about us now:|). To be honest i wouldn't worry about boyfriends until you're older, just go with the flow. Trust me when i say girls change.. The really pretty girls now probably wont be so pretty in the future!

But i have to say on the other hand [After i've offended half the male population (sorry:P)] that girls see some other girls as pretty when guys don't see the same. To us we see the blonde, skinny girl as 'perfect' but a lot of the guys actually go 'she really isn't that great you know' after you spend hours telling them how much prettier she is than you are!

I seemed to have offended everyone here:| But i'm not trying too. I'm sure you are extremely pretty, but i wouldn't get to caught up in people's positive comments or you'll get all annoyed on why no-one YOU like is saying the same. It's all on personal taste. We're all pretty to someone, you just have to find them.
You have so much time, and you're going to changed in shape and size and looks so much in the next few years, even if you don't notice it yourself. I wouldn't worry so much about it, the older you get the more interest guys will show to you, they just don't know what they're look for.

Anyway i say all this, but you never know those guys were probably laughing because they actually find you really pretty!!



I am trying to figure out some cool things to do with my hair before school starts that are really easy and quick since I'm not very talented with hair and DO NOT have very much time to do my hair! I need some ideas about what to do with a low pony. Like how you twist it up and make those cool things. My friend showed me but i forget! And if you have any other suggestions I am definitely open! Some cool hairstyles that take a little longer but are pretty easy I want to know too because sometimes I have more time than others! :D Thanx!!! (link)
I like the messy updo at the moment (not overly messy though!). After you have a shower semi dry it, brush it striaght, get some hair wax/gel and scrunch your hair up til it goes wavy. Then, when it's dry tie it into a low pony or messy bun:

Just practise at home before you go back to school. Try doing different things with your hair at the front and back. Just play around with clips and hair bands and everything really, that's what i do!:P

For the times where you have a little longer just do the opposite to what your hair is because it makes it look like you've put the effort in. Like if you have straight hair use curlers, tie it all up and pull down some of the side bits. Or tie it to the side and make a quiff with the front of your hair or make it wavy. If it's naturally curly, straighten it.

Remember thought also have rest days where you just leave it natural because over styled hair gets really dry and brittle, so use good conditioning treatments if you use styling tools a lot!

If you're feeling more daring, put some different colour in it (semi-permanent, not permanent as that ruins your hair!). Just add some subtle colour like if you've got brown hair - add some lighter brown or darker brown, red hair - little blonde bits, blonde hair - lighter blonder or darker blonde. I always do that at the beginning of the summer and winter each year (i'm naturally chocolate brown haired so winter - add caramel and darker strands and in summer - add light brown and little blonde bits. It makes it look multi tonal and a new hair style in itself! Though i thing i'll skip it this winter as i'll be too busy with important exams!:|

i checked my bmi. if your bmi is 25 or over, you are overweight. i am at 25.1. is it possible to be overweight but not "fat?" is .1 a lot? (link)
Overweight does not mean you are fat.. There are two types of 'over....'. Overweight means you are heavier than the recommended weight for your build/height etc, but this isn't necessarily fat content. As the person said before muscle weighs a lot more than fat, so if you are a mesomorphic body type then you carry a lot more muscle content than fat meaning you'll weigh more than say a person who is the same size as you but has a higher fat content (endomorphic). Weight is determined by a number of factors and .1 on the Bmi scale is only a few pounds anyway. Overweight doesn't necessarily mean you're on the way to obesity! On the other hand the second 'over' is overfat which does mean you are carrying too much fat in the body which CAN lead to obesity. But i don't think that applies to you! Your weight being over the normal range on the bmi scale could be down to lots of normal things like water retention, muscle etc. I wouldn't worry about the .1. Anyway if you are worried and want to lose weight to get to 25, you only need to lose a little bit:)

Ok so some people say that if you put eyeshadow on your eyebrow bone ( below eye brows but above your crease ) then it looks good... but then some people say it looks bad. opinions????

for my eyelashes, when I put mascara on... it looks pretty and everything, but they're too spaced out so you can't see them from far. so how do I get them to clump a little together. Not a lot of clump, just a little so that it's more visible. When I do that with my mascara wand, more mascara gets on it and it just looks really messy. help!!!

for my eyebrows, well the shape is like this (

and i don't know, it's just really bushy and when I try to tweeze them, they get so messed up and un even...... I hate waxing!!

for my hair, I am dying it permanently...but my mom is so insecure and she think's that if I dye my hair at this age, i won't stop dying it and it will fall out eventually.

Also for my hair, it's medium thick (so not totally thick) I straighten it a lot and its naturally straight, but poofy and frizzy. So I'm thnking about getting front layers, to thin it out a little. I need good shampoo and conditioner that helps my hair be healthy, not damaged, not dry, smooth, smelley and shiney.

Personally, i find eyeshadow a bit harsh looking if you use bright colours in the area you are describing. I used to put it there and now when i look at pictures i cringe haha.. I'd stick to eyelids if i were you unless you just want to use a light shimmer or colour.

For you eyelashes, a different type of mascara might help. I thought this one seems right for you :

From experience i must say i've found that spending more means A LOT better. I use YSL thickening mascara and i find it amazing for making my lashes stand out, you wear mascara everyday (generally) so it needs to be good:)


For your eyebrows, why don't you save up (if you don't have money) and get them professionally done. Once a professional has waxed/threaded/plucked your eyebrows into a nice shape, it will be easy for you to just pluck the stray hairs away from then after. Doing it yourself from the start can end up with you taking half your eyebrow off!


Hair wise dying and straightening BIG NO NO, after experiencing my hair basically breaking off through dye and everyday straightening was horrible!
If your hair is frizzy i wouldn't recommend dying it as dye tends to make your hair more frizzy. This is more of a problem the lighter dye you go.
That said if you are still wanting to dye it after reading that... I wouldn't recommend straightening anymore. Instead use hair products to tackle the frizz and poofy-ness, there are many leave in conditioners and de-frizzing balms out there you just need to ask your hairdressers. Also you should think about buying a treatment condtioner, you just leave it in for say 10 mintues and it helps strengthen your hair and condition it etc, i use pantene at the moment.

The haircut issue i can't really comment on, except the fact my friend always used to tell me not to get laters toooo short as they stick up in the morning! I'd ask a hairdresser about that, they know best!

Okay.. now I don't fake bake or anything weird like that, but i like to lay out in my pool to get some color every so often. but when I do this, I always get the nice, golden brown tanned skin that i want- except on my chest. i never get tan in the area under my chin, and above my boobs and stuff.. it's so weird! i usually put alot of tanning lotion on that area so maybe it'll attract the sun more, but nope! it just doesn't work. any ideas? I'd say just put a factor lower on your chest for a while to tan it a bit more. For example if you use factor 10 use 8 there or 6. I've heard people find baby oil works well too, i'm guessing it attracts the sun rays and makes you go brown.

Hope that helps a bit, i've always found lower factors on sun cream to tan quickly, just don't use it all the time as it doesn't protect your skin like the higher ones!


Im losing weight because of the discoloration on my neck. It's a wicked long word thta i can't pronouce nor spell but it's because im over-weight which I can't denie. Well ive been swimming a lot and walking, biking and doing my ab-longe. And im eating less which isnt a bad thing trust me. Well I weigh 211 and im 14 and its not all over my body its just in my stomach. (Beer Belly)And I wanna weigh 100 or a lil more like 110 ya know something better than 200 by school. Is that possible? It's good that you are wanting to lose weight but i have to start with the bad news about what you want to do...Firstly (bare with me, i'm aware you probably don't use stone for weight)

211 lbs is about 15 stone right, and you want to get to about
7.9 -8 stone in like 6 weeks? I don't want you to feel like i'm bursting your bubble but you really can't lose half your weight in 6 weeks unless you want lots of side effects like saggy skin and illness. If you go about setting impossible weight goals like 100 lbs you really aren't going to lose the weight because you'll get so depressed about not losing the weight at a rate of more an a stone a week (the only way to do that is excessive exercise and eating like 500 calorie max a day), that you'll just give up and put it back on.

The best way to lose weight (I know this will sound annoying) is to do it gradually and slowly but with lasting results. You should see a weight loss of up to a stone in the first 1-2 weeks followed by an average weight loss of 1-4 lbs the weeks following. There's no point cutting your calories to the bare minimum and eating no foods you like because it will just make you feel horrible and make you look pale and unwell.

By following a calorie restricted plan (probably 1200-1500 calories minimum) you can still eat but you're eating the right things and burning most of the calories off by exercise.
Don't deprive yourself of treat once in a while or you will probabl give up from boredom. Have a day once a week where you an have a special treat and for th other days when you crave sugar eat some dried fruit or a smoothie.

Your metabolism plays a big part in your weight loss too. As you are carry excess weight your metabolism will have slowed down a lot meaning you aren't burning the calories you're eating as you were eating too much before. Doing atleast 45 minutes of exercise 3-5 times a week will help to speed up your metabolism and speed up weight loss. Studies have proven that green tea or oolong tea, when drank 2-3 times a day helps to speed up your metabolism and help with weight loss (I'm addicted to it lol! Thankfully it contains NO caffeine:) ).

Exercise plays a big part in weight loss too, what you are doing is a extremely good start and you should start seeing results.
For the walking though if you can try bringing in intervals where you walk for 5 mins and then power walk/ slow jog for 2 mins and repeat etc, this gives your body an extra boost, speeds up your metabolism, and burns more calories. Try doing some aerobic exercise with light weights too as it will help to tone you more, helping your skin to tighten again. Stretching will also help this. Your rest days should consist of a session of stretching or yoga to help with the weight loss but also help tighten skin.

The key is to stick to your diet and exercise program and not give up no matter what. It will be a slow progess but even though you wont be your 100lbs lighter you will still look great as you will have lost a lot of weight:) Set yourself targets that you know you can do. When you reach those targets it will make you feel so good compared to being depressed that you haven't reached the 100lb mark.

Keep it up:) If you want to know any exercises i use or diet etc ask:) I used to have a weight problem but i lost the weight gradually and the benefits have been great:) I still use the diet to keep the weight off and exercise a lot to keep it off but i've made it fun:)

Eurgh, my face always bloats etc, it's a pain!

What i try to do is keep away from salt! It always bloats my face and my cheeks. Also drink lots of water (only water if possible) and green tea.

Getting active is a good idea and eating healthy, i know the results are slow but gradually your face will go down:)

You should see results in a few days if you drink the water and keep off salty foods (not drastic results) and things that contain caffeine.

You can't go to school after 17/18 because you go to college or university at 18. That's when the boarding schools stop letting you live in their houses. I'm not sure whether single colleges can accommodate you whereas universities have special housing for you.

Bobba is for offensive words
the dots are actually someone talking normally but you're too far away to hear what they're saying. The only way you could hear it is if they're shouting. It's like if i said hey my name is chloe to you on one side of a room, on the other they would see something like
h.. .y n.m. .. .h.o.

okay, so when i put a tampon in, it like doesnt feel like it is in when i am standing and still...but when I am running or sitting it like stings...one time it hurt so i tried to push it in and it didnt work so i took it out and i had a really hard time because it STUNG SO BAD!!! To me it sounds like you haven't pushed it up far enough or in the wrong position, as i get that stinging feeling if it isn't in the right place. Have a look at:

and see if it helps at all. Tampons shouldn't cause discomfort and if the smaller tampons absorb to quickly then you do need the super ones.. or maybe just the regulars?? Just make sure you use a applicator as they help to get it far enough in, so that it doesn't hurt or sting at all.

I have realized that I need to become more active, which will result in a whole liefstyle change.
I want to start riding my bike, and become more lean and fit. If I ride my bike for about 30-45 minutes, say a few times a week, at a pretty fast pace- will I burn a lot of calories?
What places on my body does riding my bike target, because I want to lose the fat on my stomach, and thighs. So, will biking help me with my goal, and will it help me get a flat stomach?
I am also eating very well, and incorporating crunches, and sit ups in my routine, as well as squats. (link)
Yeah, that sounds pretty good to me. Cycling acts as a whole body burner in the way that it doesn't target a specific area, it does the whole body, just lik running, swimming etc does. The only thing i found with cycling is if you go too fast for that long you will eng up building big muscles in your quadricep area, so will end up with muscular legs. Don't go too fast and intense and you should be fine:) Apart from that your method seems all good (bar the fact you shouldn't do sit ups as they don't do anything apart from giving you back pain!).

woahh sorry to the person below but don't do sit-ups....They've been proven to do nothing to your stomach, they only cause back problems etc. Firstly you can't just tone an area, you have to burn the fat away from it by doing cardio exercise 30-45 mins 4-5 times a week, for example running, biking, cross-training, swimming or anything else you can think of.
After you begin to burn the fat and start seeing that your stomach and thighs are getting more shapely, you start toning them by doing exercises like crunches

This combined with a good healthy diet and drinking plenty of water should see you tone up and lose weight off all areas.

I REALLY want to try tampons. I've tried it once and it wasn't good. so i just use pads. But whenever i want to try tampons, i keep chickening out!!!!

I know how you feel, when i started using tampons i kept panicing and they felt reallyyyy uncomfortable (and it was the smallest one:|!) but i guess that was because it was new. What i did was buy a box of tampax which contained 3 different sizes of tampon and had a plastic applicator (http://www.tampax.eu/en_UK/products.php?id=5) which helped so much as i'd tried the non applicator ones before and it was just annoying i never got it far enough and i always felt it there whereas when you use the applicator it goes in the right place and you basically don't feel it like you do when those pads stick to your damn leg! Then i just experimented with them, i know it makes you want to cringe probably, but you're the only one who knows you're doing it lol! That way you get to know how to put it in properly so it's comfortable and you feel secure. When i found the right size i bought just that size (they're even pink now, smell nice and have little skirt like tabs to make sure you don't 'leak')
What i'd say is just buy a packet then you will think to yourself, well i've bought it now so i might aswell try it lol.

what are some exercises i can do to reduce the size of my sides? besides bicycles which i already do.

Um i'd say the best thing to is run which will tone the sides a lot and add in a few side twists while you're doing that.

I know it says it's for love handles but i think the exercises at the bottom of this page will help in the area you don't like :

But combine cardio exercises with the twisting exercises and that area should disappear. Eating and drinking foods and drink that reduces water retention like green tea helps that area too.

Sorry just to add a bit on this may decrease the size of your middle bit of stomach too but it should get rid of the side bits :

1. Walk/jog for 30 minutes at least 3 times per week to boost your metabolism in order to burn that fat.



2. Eat a small handful of almonds (at least 6) every morning. Almonds are one of the healthiest snacks you can eat and the protein is good for burning fat.


3. Purchase a Pilates DVD and do the exercises at least 2-3 times per week. Pilates works on toning your entire body with concentration on your powerhouse (middle section) and will improve your flexibility.


4. Add fiber to your diet and cut down your intake of the bad carbs. Foods such as white bread, pastas, potatoes, and white rice should be limited. Eat brown rice and whole wheat bread instead. To get that needed fiber increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables (especially the leafy green ones).


5. Drink skim milk instead of whole milk. Keep your dairy intake at a minimum because these products often cause bloating and gas.


6. Perform proper crunches at least 3 times a week to train your abs. Avoid sit-ups because they really do very little to firm your stomach. Sit-ups work your hip flexors more than anything else.


7. Drink plenty of water. You should be drinking 6 to 8 glasses per day. Not only will it help fill you up so you eat less, but it aids in digestion.


8. Stop eating within 3 hours of bedtime. If you have to munch on something, eat a small portion of vegetables or fruit. Not eating late can make a huge difference.


9. Eat smaller meals more often instead of 2-3 big meals per day to keep from having that bloated look and feeling. Eating more meals actually kicks up your metabolism.


10. Take a break from healthy eating once and a while and treat yourself to your favorite dessert. If you completely deprive yourself of the foods you love you'll run the risk of going back to your bad eating habits. Moderation is the key.



i went from filling in my push up bra perfectly until barely being able to fit in it. about a month or a month in a half ago, i could fill it out, but now i cant. is there any way my boobs could of shrank? (link)
Yeah they could of, it could be one of the following reasons

- You've lost weight, it tends to be the first place you lose it
- It was the time of the month and your oestrogen levels were high when your bra fitted so you had a bigger bust, now the levels are normal, you've gone back down again. I always get a time in the month where i go up a cup size:S

They're the main things that cause your bust to shrink, it might just be your hormones playing up.

---If you're underweight , you'll have very little body fat so your bust will be small (as that's all they are really, fat tissue), also your hormones will deff be unbalanced if that's the case, Try eating a bit more, my mum always told me peanut butter makes you get a big bust lol!:)


I was playing volleyball and when i jumped to spike, i came back down on my ankle and it gave out. I fell to the ground and i could barely walk. That was last night, and today it still hurts and i was walking on it a lot. Which i know i shouldnt be. But, I have vacation in excatly 7 days. Will it be better by then? (link)
Yeah it should be, i did that all the time when i used to play netball, as long as it isn't too severly sprained and you treat it right it should be fine. It's good that you have been able to walk on it even if it hurts a bit because sometimes i couldn't even walk the next day because it hurt so badly. As long as you take it easy and don't go and make it worse it should be fine:)
