Question Posted Wednesday July 11 2007, 5:06 pm

14/m whenever im somewhere and girls i do not know see me that are my age, they seem to be embarrassed and wont look me in the eye. I see them looking at me when im not looking at them and they wont face me. i went over to my friends house and she had two of her friends i had never met before. They were eating when i walked in and the two new girls looked really embarrassed and wouldnt look at me. then when they get to know me there not embarrassed anymore. does this happen to all people when they have never met before??? im not doing anything or looking at them strangely.

They probably just think you are cute. When girls see guys they are attracted to they don't like to make a foll of themself or anything and they don't want to look at you to much and seem like there staring or being obsessive. They might just be nervous talking to you because looking someone in the eye can be kind of awkward sometimes.

O yea, That's normal. The girls were just thinking you were cute. Trust me, I get nervous and kinda emmbarresed around guys cuz I think I look stupid and try to fix myself up a bit. And when I get to know that guy, I start to feel better cuz I'm not making an idiot of myself. ANYWAY(:$), yea, it's normal. Girls were just checking you out.

Well the girls were checking you out. When a girl you have never met is looking at you when you are not looking, and won't look at you when you are looking at them, then they are checking you out. And as for the girls who were eating and seemed embarrassed, that's normal. Some girls don't like eating in front of guys they've just met, or let alone guys in general.

This is totally normal. You're not embarrassing them. They're just shy. As I'm sure you're when you meet someone new.

Hope I helped.

Hah. They probably thought that you were really hot. Its happened to me before. When I see a hot guy, I tend to be embarrassed. The girl that you bumped into probably was embarrassed because she thinks that you think she's lame or she just bumped into a really hot guy. Hehe. Its kinda what every girl does. Its totally normal for girls and guys. Don't worry about it "stud" hah.

ahh you're probably a boy they found attractive and thats what some girls do. some get wicked shy and choke on there words, others are so confident and flirt as much as they can. and some are shy at first, but once they see your personality they're cool with you. also some hide it and just talk casually. if your not doing anything than i really can't think of any other reason than your a chick magnet. haha.

Girls sometimes stare and turn red when they see guys they think are hot, and get nervous, so that might have been it, and then maybe when you started hanging out with the other 2 friends they loosend up and didnt get nervous around you anymore.

I don't think that it is embarassment so much as nervousness. Girls may just think that you are good looking and so they get nervous around you. See, when girls are around your age and they see a cute guy they start to worry what you will think of them and so they try to make it seem like they don't care, i.e. not looking you in the eye, ignoring you, etc. But when they find out that you are actually a really nice guy, they stop worrying about it so much because they realize that you're already talking and being friendly with them so they're not as nervous about impressing you. I'm just saying this as personal experience when I was a few years younger. I think this COULD be the case here, I'm not saying necessarily that it IS. Hope this helps.

haha WELLLL, are you good looking? cuz thats how 14 year old girls react when they're in the presence of a cute guy =] the other possibility is that they're all just extremely shy and can't handle awkward eye contact
