It shouldn't affect your period, unless you're using extremely dirty object, then maybe there's something that can mess it up. I don't think that there is, though. When you use random things, it's okay, just as long as they're CLEAN & STERILE. As for using a condom on some objects such as cucumbers, that's alright. It's better to be safe then sorry. Cucumbers are perfectly smooth. There's some nooks, that will have dirt and other germs on it & aren't easy to wash. Sometimes condoms are a good idea, but if they're unavailable, just make sure you're being sanitary! [ leLovely's advice column | Ask leLovely A Question ]

Masturbation is completely normal AND healthy. As long as you aren't making yourself bleed, the things you masturbate with shouldn't harm you. This won't affect your coming periods at all. If you're really that worried about it, use smoother objects when you masturbate and you won't have to worry about hurting yourself. [ sugarplum07's advice column | Ask sugarplum07 A Question ]
solidadvice4teens answered Monday June 11 2007, 12:02 am: The best thing you can do from here on out is to make sure any object you use is washed, has a condom on it, and is not jagged, can break, can cause tears or hurt you. If it's not designed to be used on your genitals or inside one's vagina don't use it.
You haven't damaged yourself or done anything wrong. This is quite common. Masturbation and periods have nothing at all in common with eachother. Your masturbation habits cannot stop or delay periods or make it so they won't come at all.
You're fine, this is natural, normal, healthy etc but be sure if you continue using objects especially household ones that they are clean, not jagged, don't have any rough areas, cannot cause tears or hurt you. It's best that they are rounded and not something that can get stuck or is hard to remove. [ solidadvice4teens's advice column | Ask solidadvice4teens A Question ]
