Mile Running. What does it mean if your throw up after running a mile or more? Is it something bad or is that normal under some circumstances?
Thanks.

Do you constantly throw up after every mile?
If you don't usually run and just threw up once after you ran a mile for the first time in a while, then everyone else's answers are wrong. The most obvious explanation is that you're out of shape so when you do strenuous activity your body responds by vomiting. It's not a bad thing though, just keep running those miles every other day and you should stop throwing up soon. Unless, if you are seriously overweight or underweight, i'd say you should stop throwing up by the end of the first week. Also pace yourself when running
if you continue throwing up, stop running immediately and see a doctor. Don't drink milk or any other dairy products before running. In fact, don't eat anything heavy 1 hour prior to running. ]
When I have to run a mile in gym, I always feel really nauseous afterwards. I've never thrown up, but you're not the only one who feels like that. You're probably not used to running so long or so fast, and you might not be pacing yourself well. It could also be the heat or lack of water. ]
If you do, you are probably really dehydrated. This happens a lot, and its the mixture of being thirsty and tired. Next time you go running, bring a lot of water, because being dehydrated in the hot sun is bad for you. ]
uhh... well it's not really normal because i'm in track and most kids don't throw up after running a mile.
But then again... maybe you didn't wait long enough for the food in your stomach to digest? Or maybe you're not used to running that much, that you just got sick and threw up?
What ever it is, I would recommmend to start of easier and gradually work up harder
