hereditary bags under eyes?

Question Posted Monday June 4 2007, 3:58 pm

like, one day i asked my mom why i have bags under my eyes and she said it was because its basically hereditary and even if you get enough sleep its still gonna be there.

so i was wondering if there was any way to maybe get rid of it or make it visually less noticeable to me and to others.

or a way to cover it up, but i'd rather not have to.

You could put concealor on them... if this sounds interesting to you and you are the kind of person that wears make up then you would have to go to the nearest cosmetics place and you would have to match it with your skin tone because you cant get something thats going to be lighter than you color because it wont rub in and you will have more bags! <><Alli

My little sister and a few of my uncles have these "hereditary bags" that you speak of.

It's an iron deficency.

I'm not saying that's what you have (though asking your doctor about iron deficiencies or the effect of lack of iron in your body is a good idea) but it's a possibility.

Taking vitamins rich in iron would help a lot.

I don't bother, but I know my mom has a nighttime "wrinkle undereye cream" which is NOT for wrinkles, but for bags. ;)

there are eye creams that you can buy at deparment stores that will get rid of bags but they go from 40 to 60 dollars..it's alot cheaper to just put a bit of powder concealer on every morning. Or you can try putting chilled cucumbers on them which some people says works..but it doesn't work for me.
