I know this sounds quite weird haha but.. when i go to the bathroom, basically at school where there are like 2 stalls, i like can't pee if there is someone else in the bathroom. like i CAN pee if im going to like explode, but i just cant pee. i dont know why its like i am ashamed of it. its a mental thing and i dont know. whatss up with this it annoys me so much because sometimes i really have to pee.
XkittyOkatX answered Friday June 1 2007, 3:42 pm: Oh, I understand this.
Haha, the only reason it's awkward, is because someone else can hear you.
All you have to do is make sure either, someone else is going at the same time (so it's not like, one person) or wait until someone's out.
Those are a bit drastic. Maybe turn the hand dryer on, or flush the toilet before/during the time you go, then no one can hear.
If anyone asks about that, just say there was something in the toilet or something.
beckyboo answered Friday June 1 2007, 3:24 pm: Hehe yes, I have the same problem. Like people said, try making some sort of noisy distraction before you go. Like put on the hand-blowdryer-thing and then go into the stall. It really makes it less awkward :) [ beckyboo's advice column | Ask beckyboo A Question ]
xstephh34x answered Friday June 1 2007, 1:42 pm: Yeah I know what you mean, I don't feel comfortable with it either but one thing that I do to take my mind off of it is to flush before I go so no one can hear:) [ xstephh34x's advice column | Ask xstephh34x A Question ]
Brandi_S answered Friday June 1 2007, 2:50 am: I'm not a guy, but I know you are far be it from alone in your 'fear'.
We chicks have to go into stalls. We don't have to worry about peeing out in the open for everyone present to take note of how we go about our business.
I know this sounds weird, but if you feel uncomfortable with others around, why not go into a stall? If anyone asks you why, just tell them something witty, such as you didn't want them to feel... jealous, as you fear they would if you were to wee in the urinal where they could see. ;) [ Brandi_S's advice column | Ask Brandi_S A Question ]
MaNdASzHElP247 answered Friday June 1 2007, 2:06 am: i think us girls get like that. its weird sitting there knowing someone can hear you lol butttt i always sit and then flush so they cant hear it...

Jeanne answered Friday June 1 2007, 1:59 am: I think a lot of people are like that. I used to have the same problem, but I guess I just got over it. Don't worry about it. Just wait till the other person leaves (if you can!) and then pee away! haha! Or if there's tons of people in there and you really have to go, try thinking of something else. Because the harder you think about going, the harder it is to go! [ Jeanne's advice column | Ask Jeanne A Question ]
doombaby answered Friday June 1 2007, 1:24 am: i understand why because to me I think it sounds weird when its all quiet and people can hear you like that
if you have a friend with you or something tell them keep the water going or something cause then it just feels less weird sounding haha i couldn't find the right word.
I don't want to tell you to get over it because its just peeing but i was like that and I didn't just suddenly get over it i guess I just stopped caring about other people so soon enough you won't do this anymore.
hope i helped babe :]
Also remember about when you hear someone peeing like that is it weird to you because really the person next to you really doesn't care about it because we are all the same. [ doombaby's advice column | Ask doombaby A Question ]
