eat 5 times per day. (3 of them actual meals), and 2 snacks (perferably fruits and veggies).
cut out soda and replace with water or 100% fruit juices. when drinking oj, try putting half water, half orange juice in the cup for less calories.
your calorie intake should be 1500-2000 calories per day depending on your height.
working out is pretty easy now that summer's coming up. swimming is pretty good, walking with a friend helps too. walking, jogging, or biking for 40 minutes will help tone your body/legs.

Eat 3 small, healthy meals a day.
Work out more and sit around less. The more you are sitting around doing nothing, the more you will be tempted to eat junk food.
So basically, eat VERY healthy. There are tons of programs out there that can help.
Work out with sit ups, running, pushups, or just doing a sport that you enjoy. It's not the complicated =]
Andreaaaa answered Monday May 28 2007, 2:01 pm: Good eating habits and exercise. It's hard work and takes a lot of will power. But I think you can do it :]
Foods to stay away from: all pastas, pizza, all breads unless whole weat, pop, sugary food/sweets.
DON'T skip any meals, especially breakfast. Try to keep down on the snacking as much as possible. And if your going to snack, grapes would be the best choice. Not chips or cookies.
As far as exercising goes, atleast an hour a day, 4 days a week. And yes, an hour. You and your friend would ride your bike around for an hour, or go walking around the block for an a few times. Anything.
I promise, you'll see results in 2 1/2 weeks, probably even sooner if you stick to good eating habits and good exercising habits. :] And no cheating either! lol [ Andreaaaa's advice column | Ask Andreaaaa A Question ]

MHScutie87 answered Monday May 28 2007, 1:57 pm: Hey girl. Don't stress. If you're tall for your age, you could be just normal! But, if you want, you can start walking around in your neighborhood. If you have an iPod, walking goes by so fast, and it becomes fun! Also, try substituting sodas (if you even drink them in the first place) with crystal light drinks. They're extremely low in calories and they taste so good (peach tea is my favorite)! Also, you can try replacing your regular carb dishes with whole wheat ones, which are high in fiber and low in fat. You can even ask your mom to start buying those types of noodles instead when she cooks spaghetti. Also, watch what snacks you're eating. It's incredibly easy to just grab a cookie and go, so try grabbing fruit or pretzels next time. Dedication is all you need. So if you stick to secure plan, you'll see results shortly. Don't push yourself though, because good things will come with time!
