if your a vegetarian or vegan can you eat eggs? my personal opinion is that you shouldnt because it was once living (sorta). but is it REALLY considered living. i dont know. please help. im confused lol
The reason many vegetarians or vegans won't eat eggs is because of the conditions the hens are living in. They live their whole lives in small, boring cages, and are often beaten. As you may know, most vegetarians/vegans are against animal cruelty, and this is included. Vegans include this as well as milk and others for similar reasons.
So, whatever your reasons are for going veg, if you are at all, do all of your research. Figure out what is going on behind the scenes. (Try the PETA website?:D ) [ EasyPeasy's advice column | Ask EasyPeasy A Question ]

vegan-ism [not a word lol] doesnt really make much sense to me though. eggs are not living. they are always unfertilized, meaning even if you just left it there a chicken would not come out of it. and as far as milk goes, NOT milking cows is actually bad for them.. they are supposed to be milked.

You know how human fetuses use the placenta to gain nourishment? Eggs are pretty much chicken placentas. They're just nutritious goop. In the eggs that are sold, there never was a baby chicken. The eggs are not fertilized, so no fetus would have formed.

Lots of vegetarians eat eggs as long as they are free range and have not been fertilised, so have had no chance of becoming chickens.
