I HATE MY WEIGHT!

Question Posted Saturday March 31 2007, 4:09 am

13/female/australia
you probably read the subject and thought "she must be complaining because she is over weight" well i am not over weight i am under weight. I HATE IT! now ur probably thinking "what is so bad about being skinny?" well i am not skinny i am TOO skinnyi am as skinny as my 10 year old sister, and she is under weight for her age. The prboblems i face are: nothing fits me because all clothes are too big or made for boobs. I have NO boobs at all. people always ask me if i am annorexic. People call me "flat" and a "twig". ALSO i have a disease called Ceoliac disease, which means i cant eat gluten, and gluten is stuff like :wheat, flour, musly, oats, barly, malt, and MUCH more. that means i cant eat anything with bread on it (hot dogs, hamburgers, cakes) and all those things are fatty foods, so i cant get fat!!!! o cry nearly everyday because i know that guys arent attrated to my 'skinny-ness' and my 'flat-ness' i also hate being teased at school.
PLEASE HELP ME!!
what should i do to make my self fatter or happier or both?
sorry this is so long...

dont worry about this. I think that you can try eating more foods that dont contain gluten. if that is hard then maybe you should ask your doctor. this doesnt mean just pig out on loads of chocolate but really try to eat lots of healthy foods and maybe twice a week a bar of choci. thats what i do. reply if that doesn't work

Just a note... coconut flour mixed with rice flour and tapioca starch make a good wheat flour substitute in cookie recipes, but you have to add extra eggs and shape drop cookies before you bake them.
Also, Taco Bell is usually gluten free, and brownies made with gluten-free flour tend to taste pretty well. So, treats may help a little if you look in the right places.

Aww, I definitely wish I was skinny like you. And as much as you think I'm crazy, I'm not. Haha.

Try eating chocolate. You can eat hot dogs, just don't eat them with bread. Can you eat cheesecake? Nothing about it is bready, & it's really good.

As for the kids teasing you, tell them to shut the hell up. Your disease is not your fault, and not something you asked for. If they don't know about it, explain it to them. Tell them you're not anorexic but that your disease doesn't allow you to eat certain foods so it's really hard for you to gain weight. I would try & see a nutrionist though so they can get you some foods to eat that'll help you gain some weight.

that sucks, really bad. NO CAKE?! haa aww that so sucks. can you eat chocolate? =O if you can, drink juice. really high calorie juice. i gained a few pounds from obbessing over it one week. -__- ha. but also, go to your doctor. say you hate being so underweight, what can you do to make you fatter. he'll help.

& as for people teasing you in school, just tell them to stop, that its hurting your feelings. or you could laugh with it. when someone picks on me, well its usually jokingly, & i bet those people are just joking with you & you took it too seriously, my brother does that too. just try laughing with it. & make a comment about one of there faults. but dont do it like meaningly. just be like.. pshh well look your nose its all crooked or big, whatever.

i hope that helped a little. (:

I really feel for you! I am sorry that I can't offer much advice but I have a friend with Celiac's and I through her experience I know how hard it is to have to put up with people calling you anorexic because of something that's not your fault!
Just make sure you have a lot of red meat and eggs in your diet to keep your protein up, as well as fish for omega 3 acids, that will ensure that your hair and skin look good and healthy despite the lack of fatty acids in your diet. Loads of fruits and veges help too - rice and potatoes have a lot of carbs which will help to keep your weight up. And as for cakes, biscuits and bread, there are a lot of gluten free products available, including things like rice flour and potato starch flour which you can use in place of normal flour. There are some great gluten free recipes on the net too, try googling 'celiac recipes' and you'll find you CAN eat cake, biscuits, pancakes and all those good things after all!
Really though, the most important thing for you to do in terms of your happiness is just to be confident in yourself. The main reason that guys aren't attracted to very thin girls is that in most cases very thin girls are that thin because they are overly concerned about their looks, and are insecure and shallow. Of course, you're not! So just smile, keep active, ignore peoples' comments and pretty soon they'll disappear. If you want, make it known that you can't eat gluten because of your health. For example the friend of mine I mentioned before is 30 and she fits into an aussie size four! She is very skinny but she's so happy and outgoing and unaffected that nobody notices, and she certainly has her fair share of guys!
No matter what you look like, your most attractive feature is going to be your smile and a great attitude - it's a cliche but it really is true!!!
