i couldn't find the hole the tampon goes in
ok i am a teenager and i really need help! so i just got my period and there is one problem...when i tried to put in a tampon>>>i couldn't find the hole it goes in :-*( please dont laugh at me...it is extremely embarassing and i dont know what to do... i know it is there though HELP.

Hi friend, do not be embarassed. Every girl goes through this, including myself, I have certainly been in your shoes. Everything will be okay, it just takes time to learn and find a comfortable tampon. I prefer pads myself and you may want to try those instead, I find them much more comfortable. However, to answer your question, I am giving you two safe websites that I have checked out. They both explain to you all about tampons and give you illustrations as to how and where to insert them. Don't worry! I've never tried to put one in but it can be hard if your a virgin because some skin called the hemen covers the vagina. Maybe thats why your having trouble? Use a mirror or ask your mom.

get a towel, and a mirror. its easier to find it when u can put a mirror below you and search, dont hesitate to think that its weird. i had to do it the first couple times i put a tampon in, and sooner or later, you'll end up getting it.

The biggest hole where the blood comes out is the correct one. Get a towel, take your panties off, sit down on the towel in front of a mirror and spread your legs. The lowest hole is the WRONG one. That's your anus, where poop comes out. The next one above the anus is the right one. That's your vagina. Good luck!

Ok hun, I am a 13 year old teen. I had your same problem.This may sound silly, but your vaginal hole is somewhere near your butt hole. Just keep serching. And if you have trouble inserting it. Well First you take the rapping off. Then you stick the aplicator up your vagina. Then you just push it in. It may take a few terns but you will get it. Good luck :)

It helps to try and find it with your fingers first. It's pretty far back there... maybe and inch or so from your anus. After you've found in with your fingers, try inserting the tampon then. It helps to be calm and have relaxed muscles while inserting it.

If you just got your period for the first time, I wouldn't suggest using tampons. You could get Toxic Shock Syndrome if you leave it in too long, and could possibly die. I think you should start with pads for now. Don't be scared though, most girls can't find their 'hole' when they start using them. Ask your mom or sister (if you have either) to help you if you really need to use a tampon.
