if the other players on the team do not go for the ball there are 2 ways for your problem
number 1 is talk to the coach and the team about how they dont go for the ball or 2if you dont want to be a snitch then join another vollyball team like a park districk park vollyball team
then let them loose on there on
Volleyball2150 answered Saturday March 10 2007, 1:08 pm: ok so in Volleyball.. you don't have "SPOTS". Sure there are 6 spots in a rotation.. but seriously, volleyball is all about the footwork. You are EVERYWHERE when you play volleyball.
Tell them that there is no such thing to stay in a spot in volleyball. GO FOR THE BALL! Most importantly say "MINE MINE MINE!" 3 times... very loudly!
if they start yelling at you and they say that they were going to get the ball, just tell them that you said MINE, 3 times, very loudly and that means you are going to get the ball.
I agree, some athletes tend to be ball hoggers and they want to be the Star of the team... but that is how everybody is.
tell them that this is a Competetive sport and they shouldn't be yelling at you.
If it continues, go the opposite way and just stand there. Act stupid and then when they don't go for the ball, YOU start yelling. Teach them a lesson about attitude.
If they won't let you go to the ball, let them get it... however if they won't get it... tell them that it's their duty.
LOL_x0x answered Saturday March 10 2007, 12:26 pm: tell them
if they're going to get it
call the ball
say 'Mine!'
when you're gonig to get it
and tell them to do the same
parksoccer10 answered Saturday March 10 2007, 10:38 am: Are you playing in gym? I have friends that we played in a tournament for the school (to raise money) and two people jumped infront of everybody and it was basically a two man show. It really pissed off everyone on my team because we didn't get to play and this was suppose to be a fun thing. Maybe the people are getting annoyed because they just want to have fun and don't really care about winning or loosing. Also, if you are playing on a private team, you have to learn how to trust that your teammates will get the ball when it goes to them and worry about your own spot because the most embarrassing thing is when you leave your spot to jump in on someone's and the ball ends up getting hit to your spot where you should be. My advice, if it's gym, you just play intense, but don't go overboard, let everyone have a chance at the ball. I don't think this is what you wanted to hear, but that's my advice.
