Okay. So there's this guy at school, who's in tenth grade. His name is Tyler, and I'm in ninth grade. We both know we like each other, but I only met him 2 weeks ago. And he was telling my best friend that he wants to ask me out TONIGHT! But the problem is, I like him and all but I feel like things are moving way too fast. So how do I let him down easily without shoving him away?

smichele427 answered Friday March 9 2007, 6:59 pm: what i was saying is that you dont have to reject him and be like "i dont want to ever go out with you" just tell him that you want to take things slow and get to know him more before you go out with him. Flaggal answered Friday March 9 2007, 6:16 pm: Tell him this. "hey! you are really cool and i think we can have a relationship but can we slow down. It's not that I don't like you, it's that I just want to take it down a notch. If you truly like me, you will understand"
DepthofHeart answered Friday March 9 2007, 6:15 pm: Just tell him you want to take things slow. That doesn't mean you can't go out with him. You like him so him asking you out should be a good thing. Going on one date doesn't mean you have to get married to the guy. Just have fun. [ DepthofHeart's advice column | Ask DepthofHeart A Question ]
