Which party? Need answer very sooon

Question Posted Sunday February 18 2007, 12:30 pm

Hey, this is kind of a menial question, so yeah. But uh tonight I got invited to two birthday parties that start around the same time. One, is my best friend "Margaret's" birthday. We're going to Maccaroni Grill and that's it. The other is my friend from tennis, "Lucy". Lucy is pretty popular on the team and I really was happy she invited me and I want to get to know her well and stuff. But, Margaret is my best friend. At first I was like, Ok i'm defidently going to Margaret's. But.. idk. Lucy's party is we're going shopping and then spending the night at a hotel. Both are sweet 16 birthdays. My parents suggested going out to eat with Margaret and then going to spend the night with Lucy. But since me and LUcy aren't like besssttt friends, i dont' want to seem like a lot of trouble since I'm not even one of her good friends. Does that make sense? well, please reply asap! thankks!

I agree with your parents and go to your best friend's birthday, and then go to spend the night with Lucy... you might really just want to go Lucy's party but you cant stand your friend up like that. Just explain to Lucy that you want to go to your other friend's birthday also, and that you'll catch up with them later on. so, this way both your best friend and friend will be happy you went to their parties. That's i can say really.. but i hope it helps!..

Well. My advice is to go to Margaret's 16 first. Let her know your there. Let her know that you chose her over anyone else. After all she is your best friend. How would you feel if you got blown off by her? If it turns out to be a kickass time...stay. But later you can catch up with the tennis people. And party at the hotel. Oh and by the way...If you do turn out going to Lucy's partie afterwards...DONT kill it by telling Margaret your going to ditch....Tell her you have things to do..that your tired or make up somethingg....Of coarse....its not my brightist idea....because if margaret finds out wut u did she might be crushed ...but look on the bright side....you went to hers party "FIRST" that has to count for somethingg!!!
Have fun..!
always...<---MaRii--->

I definately think that you should go to your best friend's...I mean BEST FRIENDS...helloooo

Since Lucy isn't you life long friend or anything, show up to her AFTER Margaret's and tell her ahead of time and ask her if it's okay.

But don't be running out of Margaret's just to get to Lucy's

You should go to your best friend's party first and keep it quick then go to Lucy's party cause you said that you guys aren't even close so i don't think she will care if your alittle late to her party, and if she does she'll get over it.
