I would definately say that you doing DDR would be a lot better than you sitting there on the couch eating chips or something. Although i'd probally have to say that it's not equailent to running or riding a bike, it's better than nothing. So, continue to do DDR but each week or so, up the time you do it. After a while, you should really try running. I mean, running is great for you. It realives stress, it's relaxing, it's good for you, it's something that you can do easily, and once you start running and get better, you'll be excited to set goals and work towards them. Running really isn't as bad as you might think.

So, goodluck. Also, if it's summer time, riding your bike for like an hour is good, but not casual riding, like go on big, long roads with hills and go fast.

Goodbye <333.

I guess DDR could be considered cardio, but you would have to play for like an hour to get the same results. I play all the time, I haven't lost weight with it but I now have rock hard calves.

ddr is a good way to lose weight, but cardio exercises work way faster. you would have to do more ddr than you would if you ran, so if it were up to me, i would do the cardio running. you can also try exercise tapes. they are way more fun than actually running.

Dancing is not the ultimate form of cardio. Running or climbing stairs really is. "Everyone" is basically wrong.

Running a mile will get you a lot more for your time...it's just on you to stop being lazy and just do it and not look for the easy way out.

YES! actually DDR is a great (and fun) way to exercise =]

i don't know about your versio of DDR, but my version has a workout mode on it where i can choose a calorie goal and dance until i reach it.

Just do DDR for a while, and then do about 50 crunches and 50 squats and then stretch! and your good to go =]

yup haha it is but i mean if you do it for like 5 minutes it doesnt really count. but lets say you do it for 30+ minutes a few times a week its definitely cardio.

other stuff could be like biking, rollerblading, running around with your dog if you have one, jumping jacks, jump roping, etc.. basically anything that gets your whole body moving and your heart pumping.
