Mimi My friend Mimi (size 6, but looks like a 4) went to a flea market and a woman was trying to sell her jeans. The vendor says to Mimi in a sheepish voice “I have jeans I am selling. You are a size 10, my daughter is a size 10.” That night when Mimi went home she told her friends what the vendor said and her friends said to her: “The vendor just wants to sell her jeans, she would say the same thing to a size 2.” My question: Do you agree with Mimis friends?

I read the feedback you gave to queenhearts & I`d just like to point out, that`s totally rude. You`re asking for someone`s opinion on your stupid problem that NO ONE in their right mind would care about. Then you tell her she`s DEFINITELY WRONG? You can`t do that. That`s physically impossible for someone to be "definitely wrong" when they`re giving their opinions.
You`re stupid. ]

Yes and no.
Vendors do want to sell anything so they try making you think you'll look good in it or that you are a certain size when you aren't. They just want money.
And No.
If Mimi was slightly chubby then yes, a vendor could be rude (without realizing it) and say she's a size she isn't.
But if a size 2 went up there.. She wouldn't look anywhere like a size 10 and probably wouldn't say the same thing because of weight/size differences. ]
Of course the vendor was trying to sell the jeans to her. She would have offered a size 16 to a 0 if it was the last thing she had. The woman was simply trying to make money, she would not try to offend a potential customer. Besides, if Mimi is happy with how she looks, thats all that matters. =) ]
totally i agree with mimi's friend vendors always do that kind of things to me saying they have what im loking for ( jeans, shirts anything) and they really don't or sell something you won't use

Some brands fluctuate. For example, I am a tiny, petite girl, but at some stores, I wear a size 5 or 7 in jeans. This could have happened to your friend.
However, being a flea market vendor, we just want to get rid of the stuff.
I can envision the seller's motives to be either moral or immoral. ]
Yes I agree with Mimi's friends. The vendor is just trying to pawn off a pair of jeans on someone. Either that, or she is like me. I can't judge someone's size by looking at them. ]
