hello. I am 13/f, 5'2 and i weigh about 138 pounds. Is that really overweigh? Also, what is the fastest most efficent way to lose weight other then the excerise and eat less? Is there a SPECIFIC exercise i should do everyday? -thanks ALOT
There is no specific exercise that will help you. Weight loss is a matter of eating fewer calories than you burn. That means that it comes down to the two things you listed... diet and exercise. The value of a specific exercise (e.g. crunches) is in the amount of calories they burn. Specific exercises, done alone, dont do much to help. What works are things like cardio, sports, weight lifting etc.
Now, you dont neccessarily need to eat less as such. Usually people dont eat right. You need to learn to eat a small balanced meal every 3-4 hours. Very few people do that. It will have a good effect on your metabolism, and will also give you more energy.

but if u truly wana lose wieght
then maybe you could try doing crunches everyday
its working for me

do you drink two sodas a day?
Well, stop drinking one soda, and go for a 30 minute walk while talking on your cell instead of sitting.

the_little_mermaid answered Saturday December 30 2006, 9:03 am: You can wear strap on weights on your arms and legs for a particular amount of time regularly but not to often and then just carry on with your regular activities.It's tiring but your metabolism will be really high.You sould try excercises that are fun like swimming and tennis/squash anthing you like.That is the best way to loose weight because you're doing it because you enjoy it.Eat lots of fruits and vegatables.Drink skim milk.If fruits and vegatables sounds boring.The're not.Get recipies for russian salad and thai salads from the net.If you want to eat junk food.First eat something healthy and then eat the junk food.If you live in a building and not a very high spsrtment use the stairs.Search in google for "BMI calculator".I don't know how much a pount is but muscle is much denser than fat.So is bone.BMI calculators and height/weight charts are not that accurate but they are approximate. advicegal26 answered Saturday December 30 2006, 12:49 am: ok well when i was 13and a teen myself i was 5.4-5.5' and i had terrible eating habits and i was reaching 130 lbs and i was not happy with it at all and not happy with the way i looked so i fixed that by running nearly every morning, then i was 113 .....im not saying you should do that, i guess what im saying is that if you are unhappy with the way you feel and believe you look not slimming enough, maybe you can ask a TRUSTED friend,parent/guardian for advice on how you look[mirrors are dicieving]ask them to answer you honestly. constructive criticism may help. but if you do infact want to do something about it then i suggest this:
1. eat healthier
2. exersize more
3. have fun/laugh

xxlilreddivaxx answered Saturday December 30 2006, 12:34 am: You are 13 and growing. It is all baby fat! Once you start growing, you will loose it all and watch how skinny you will be. I was like you and wondered the same thing. I grew and lost weight last summer. But if you want to exercise, then do it!!!! Its healthy. Do exercise for at least 1 hour a day. At least 15 minutes of jogging everyday. Also, eat healthy. For information about that, go to www.mypyramid.gov . Dont worry, you will loose weight in no time!!!!
