jammy12 answered Sunday December 24 2006, 5:31 pm: Well actually it was a crime to wear anything near the belly button..but since the retro 70's 80's look is back...there isn't a problem. I've seen those couture models wearing skirts and pants high up the their sink (waist) and it loooks awesome!!!! However I don't think you should wear jeans higher than your belly button....dress pants (the cloth ones) look alright high, as I said for the retro style! ImFakingHotPink answered Sunday December 24 2006, 4:09 pm: The wearing usually depends on how high or low your waist is.
Women with high waists usually wear jeans around their bellybutton or a few centimeter below.
Women with a low waist can wear them all to their butt crack. See it really just depends.
BooYouWhore answered Sunday December 24 2006, 4:02 pm: there isn't really a "too high" though wearing them too high can be irritating. It is basically whatever makes you comfortable. I happen to wear low rise jeans and I roll down my dance pants and such because i really don't like them up very high, but it's all about personal preference.
Hope i helped!

duudee_advicer answered Sunday December 24 2006, 4:00 pm: Honestly it depends on the person and the style of the pants. I think jeans should be worn slightly above the hips to prevent muffin top. On me thats almost 4 inches below my belly button.
If they are hipsters, those are to be hugging your hips, lower then normal. Same with low-rise pants.
Dress pants however, should be worn a tad higher, almost 3inches below belly button.
Nothing should be worn withing 1-1.5 inches of the belly button though.
