soo usually i go to bed around 1-3 am, then wake up between 7-7:30 for school. would it be ok to leave a tampon in during the night? i for sure always wake up in the mornings, and i put new ones in right before i go to sleep.
She also said a tampon is COMPLETLEY safe for
up to 10 hours. So basicly, 10 hours is safest,
but if you have to its okay to leave it
in for up to 15 hours. I'm somewhat of
a germaphobe, so that doesn't exactly sound
clean to me of course.
But yes, wearing a tampon overnight is
totally safe. In fact 1/4 of girls wear their
tampons over night. Just be sure to put
a clean one in right before bed, then
take it out when you wake up.
Don't worry about it.
missadvicebitch1 answered Sunday December 24 2006, 12:50 pm: hey, well its fine to do that. as long as you put it in right before you go to sleep and wake up immediately and change it. also dont wear the super tampons to bed. just where the regular sized ones. because the bigger the tampon the more risk you have for tts [ toxic shock syndrome ]. but as long as your careful i think you should be fine.

rawrimarobotxx answered Sunday December 24 2006, 11:31 am: no no no. don't do that. it's really not good, and it could give you like infections. if anything i'd say use a pad or panty-liner, because just having that in your body while you sleep could like cause damage. i'm not really sure why, but i just know you should probably not do that. epicadvice answered Sunday December 24 2006, 10:58 am: Its fine to sleep with a tampon, as long as you don't sleep more than 8 hours. Make sure you dont forget to take it out in the morning. Maybe leave yourself a note or set an alarm clock. [ epicadvice's advice column | Ask epicadvice A Question ]
xomichelle891xo answered Sunday December 24 2006, 1:22 am: I wouldnt take the risk. Im sure you must know about TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) from when you keep a tampon in longer than 6-8 hours. If you didnt wake up in the morning (even though I know you say you ALWAYS do) you will die. Its better to be on the safe side, wear a pad or two if you have a very heavy flow than to risk death. Just my opinion, but other than that - no its not a problem if you change it before you go to bed and after you wake up. ♥ [ xomichelle891xo's advice column | Ask xomichelle891xo A Question ]
ZizMe answered Sunday December 24 2006, 1:07 am: i do it, and it hasn't hurt me. but since everyone is different, you should try it and if anything happens, or feels different, make sure you stop. but make sure that it is a new one you put in before bed, and a new one after you wake up. hope this helped:) take care

jenn-hansen answered Sunday December 24 2006, 1:07 am: Yeah...that is fine. The problems that you are thinking may occur usually when you forget a tampon. That is when the problems occur. I hope that his helped.
xlickablex answered Sunday December 24 2006, 1:06 am: no, always wear a pad. I read a article a few weeks ago about it causing bacteria and it gets really nasty and infected if you leave a tampon overnight, it's not a good safe bet. =] [ xlickablex's advice column | Ask xlickablex A Question ]
BooYouWhore answered Sunday December 24 2006, 1:06 am: well, when i first got mine i read the entire paper thing in the packages, and it said that you can. I have slept with a tampon in before and you should be fine as long as you put it in before you go to bed and right when you get up take it out. Of course, leaving it in for more than 4 isn't the best for you, but you should be fine. Especially since when you're less active, you tend not to bleed as much, so basically, you should be fine. Especially since i've done it going to sleep at like 11:30 and getting up around 8, so you should be good.
