You need nutrience in your body to help you lose the weight. Celebrities don't eat but also they work out non stop. That is why they lose so much weight. As for your second question, different people take different amounts of time to start showing before they lose weight. It takes an average person 2 to 3 weeks before you start to see some results. Give it time. It sounds to me that you are doing everything right so keep it up and just wait and before you know it you will be where you want to be. Xo_Blondii_oX answered Sunday November 12 2006, 1:11 pm: Starving yourself works but it slows down your metabolism so when you do decide to eat, it'll be ALOT harder for you to lose weight. Just keep eating right and exercising and you will start losing weight it takes longer than 3 weeks. Give it time also you could get a friend to exercise with you it becomes more fun. Hope i helped! Eat negative calorie foods such as asparagus, apple, beet, berries, broccoli, cabbage, carrot, cauliflower, celery, chili, cucumber, garlic, lettuce, grapefruit, lemon, mango, onion, orange, papaya, pineapple, spinach, turnip, zucchini. You can eat as many as you want.

Just putting that out there. When you starve yourself, your body still needs to get food.. so it takes the fat in your body and eat that. That's how weight is lost. But most likely you will gain weight before you lose weight useing starvation.
chicacaliente answered Sunday November 12 2006, 10:20 am: Ok first of all, starving yourslf, of course it works, but you wont be llosing just fat, you will lose alot of muscle too. This is not good for your body. You shouldnt starve yourself to lose weight! You will becone weak and feeble, and that is UNATTRACCTIVE. It may work ...for a while, but the second you go back to eating normally, you will put back on the weight., If you want to shed some pounds, do it the right way. The right way is the healthy way. Excersize daily, but dont over do it. Est carbs in the morning and mid afternoon, fruits and veggies at lunce, and proteins at dinner, even if you eat late. MAke sure you are not eating carbs latea t night. Continue running. It can be that you are at a plateau. Be positive, because u sound very negative. If you believe in yuro self the pounds will come off. Eat 5 to 6 times a day in small portions. Do not starve urself! Good luck! :) [ chicacaliente's advice column | Ask chicacaliente A Question ]
Alin75 answered Sunday November 12 2006, 10:00 am: Ok question 1 first. It depends what you mean by "works". Do you lose weight? Of course you do. But bear in mind that it will be muscle that you lose first and then fat. Also you will do damage to your metabolism making weight gain very easy once you begin to eat normally again. So the answer I guess is "yes" though if you are considering it, why not take the even easier weight loss solution... sawing off part of your body, its even quicker :)
If you arent losing weight from what you are doing, you are very likely doing some of the follwing things wrong:
1. Still eating too many calories
2. Eating too rarely (remember 4-6 small balanced meals a day evenly spaced every 3-4 hours or so)
3. Eating the wrong things- for one thing make sure you eliminate most saturated fats. Similarly make sure you get your daily needs of essential fatty acids, particularly omega 3(from things like oily fish, flax seed oil, walnuts etc). Also make sure you eat plenty of protein. Most of the meals should be based around a good lean protein source such as skinless chicken/turkey, tuna, lean beef, cottage cheese etc.
Calculate your calorie needs and create a 500 cal deficit every day. Divide your remaining calories evenly among your meals and see if this doesnt help. Heres a cal calculator:
