I like to read, I really like the book "Holes." I have'nt seen the movie. I'm 13, what is something aproprete [sorry I can't spell] for a 13 year old girl.
Not to childish though, & something I could get at barnes and nobles, or so?
LagunaBabe answered Friday September 29 2006, 5:59 pm: I'm a year older than you, but it probably wouldn't make much difference. The "Summer Boys" series by Hailey Abbott are the best books ever! But make sure to read them in the right order, otherwise you won't know what's going on. "The A-List" is a great novel, so addicting. Here's a list of really good and addicting novels:
triciaXterror answered Friday September 29 2006, 2:16 pm: TED DEKkER!!!
Ted Dekker is an AMAZING author. Four of his books that I love:
Black, Red, & White - they are a trilogy, so you have to read them in that order or it won't make ANY sense.
THR3E - very intense. gave me a nightmare once. but it's so mind pickingly awesome.

p.s. to find your level book, you open o a certain page and llook for how ever many words that you don't know what they mean. if you have 2-4, then it's your level. but if there are 5 & more it should be a bit too hard. [ triciaXterror's advice column | Ask triciaXterror A Question ]

lauren_taylor answered Thursday September 28 2006, 10:31 pm: I really enjoy reading "The Clique" series by Lisi Harrison. I haven't read all of them yet, but i've read about three and I really liked them! Here is an explanation of the first book from www.barnesnoble.com :
"The most privileged middle-school girls navigate social minefields in this over-the-top, dramatic series set in suburban New York City's Westchester County.
Massie Block: With her glossy brunette bob and Whitestrip smile, Massie is the uncontested ruler of The Clique and the rest of the social scene at Octavian Country Day, an exclusive private school in Westchester, New York.
Dylan Marvil: Massie's second in command who divides her time between sucking up to Massie and sucking down Atkins shakes to try to get rid of the extra fifteen pounds that won't seem to leave her hips alone.
Alicia Rivera: As sneaky as she is beautiful, Alicia floats easily under the adult radar because she seems so "sweet." Would love to take Massie's throne one day. Just might do it.
Kristen Gregory: She's been dying to fit in ever since her parents went broke. She's smart, hardworking and will insult you to tears faster than you can say "scholarship kid."
And then there's Claire Lyons, the new girl in two-year old GAP overalls from Florida, who is clearly not Clique material. The only problem is that Claire's family is staying in the guest house on the Blocks' massive estate while they look for a new home! Claire's future looks worse than a bad Prada knock-off, but with a little luck and a lot of scheming, she just might come up smelling like Chanel Mademoiselle...."

NinjaNeer answered Thursday September 28 2006, 10:18 pm: A really good book (and series) is Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card. It's sort of science fiction, but not really to a Battlestar Galactica point. It's very well-written, but not too difficult of a read. I found that I couldn't put it down, and neither could my sister when she read it! [ NinjaNeer's advice column | Ask NinjaNeer A Question ]
