ok well , if you guys are down with "labels" , you can deff say im hardcore emo . so as you can imagine , i like lots of eyeliner . see , my mom wont let me wear makeup to school and im in the 7th grade . its so gay . she doesnt understand that the way i dress and do makeup and do my hair is how i express myself through ways other then talking . any ideas in what i can do to either talk her into it , or different styles that arent too much OR SOMETHING ! thanks in advanced . hanna <3

hey my names hanna also, but im in 8th grade and my mom used to be like that, see what i did was i explained to her that, that was how i am and that no matter what she did or said thats how i was going to express myself and i walked away, she was speechless that i even had the guts to say that to her but she didn't really hear me out so i just took the eyeliner in my bag and put it on after i got to school then at the end of the day i used make up remover and took it off so she had no idea, eventually she said i was old enough to make my own decisions so i think that you just really need to sit down and talk with her about it. Tell her that you are 12 years old(or 11) and that you should be treated as a young adult because you are one and that eyeliner is a privelage that you'd like to have because you think you deserve it. Or, compromise with her tell her that this is free expression in your opinion and that if she has strong enough feelings about it that you'll wear less-- but as you get older put more on slowly she won't notice. Hope I helped...
<3 Hanna

Just talk to her about it, and tell her what you said in here (that you're doing this certain style to express yourself). Most moms don't like when their daughters wear a lot of makeup, and she's probably not realizing that you're getting older, so try wearing a little less eyeliner and makeup. She probably think you look pretty either way, but tell her that you like the way you look a lot more when you wear makeup. Give yourself a limit of how much you'll wear every day, and make it a habit so you won't want to wear more of it.

Talk to your mum about it. If she still says no, wear less eyeliner than you would, and each day wear a little more, that way she should just get used to it, I dont see why she doesnt like it... its your life right? hope it works out. xx

Just talk to your mother and ask her why it is she doesn't want you wearing make up. Then explain to her how you like to wear it, and you're getting to that age where you are old enough to wear make up. And just talk about it and try to reason with her. Or, you can just go to school without any makeup on, and before homeroom starts or whatever, run to the bathroom and put some on, and then before you go on the bus or while you're on the bus, just wipe it all off. But you shouldn't have to hide it from your mother, you should be allowed and she should know you're wearing it.

Some different styles are is you can just wear black eyeshadow not like, GUNKED on, but lightly and then wear light eyeliner and it still gives you a dark effect to your eyes and it looks nice ( haha it better cause that's how i'm wearing it right now ).

I hope I helped.
