DancinCutie08 answered Saturday September 9 2006, 10:04 pm: the way i did it was i found people who thought i was perfect. I group of friends who thought i was the most gorgeous girl on the face of the planet. I went from feeling like the ugliest thing alive to being beautiful and number 1. I used to care what others thought cause i always wanted to be friends with the "popular girls" then i met the friends i have no i feel basically like i am better than everyone else (not in a cocky way but in an extremely confident way). You need to find friends like that and find a way to excel where people admire you. Like i found my friends at work i am and extremely hard worker and it didn't hurt that i was kinda cute on the side.
duudee_advicer answered Saturday September 9 2006, 4:16 pm: Confidence;
In sixth grade, I was horrible. I believed everything people said to me and about me. I felt so ugly compared to everyone.
Then I started taking peoples complements to heart. I realized, "Hey maybe I do have good hair"
Everynight, look in the mirror and say three good things about yourself. Try reading magazines to help fix areas you maybe need help in (Clean skin, hair, style) Just stay confident. Ignore stupid stuff people say to you. It`ll be hard for a bit, but will become easier. I`m totally confident today and when I hear stuff about myself, I just think "Jealousy" Just stay confident, thats the best advice anyone on this site can give you in this case.
christina answered Saturday September 9 2006, 3:43 pm: Ignore it. If someone says they don't like something about you, tell them that's their problem not your's. Tell yourself that you don't care, and think positively about yourself. And if people don't like you for what you do, or what you wear, then they can pretty much go to hell & shut the fuck up!

queenhearts answered Saturday September 9 2006, 12:21 pm: Think of it as this way..
You could be a lot happier.
If they say something mean, then ignore them. Walk away or say I dont care. Just because they dont like something, doesnt mean its bad.
Don't ever show it hurts you or anything because they will continue the behavior.
Volleyball2150 answered Saturday September 9 2006, 12:18 pm: ignore what they're saying, think of all of the positives about you that nobody has.. it'll make you feel better about yourself.

AskMe5000 answered Saturday September 9 2006, 10:47 am: Why do you care what people think of you? just be you and if they got a problem with it and then just say, "so what?" And if someone goes up to u and says something like," that is a hedious skirt." then just say, "your point is.." and speaking of point, my point is, dont care what other people think of you!!!!
