What does it mean when someone answers a question and then puts EDIT- and writes something different?

Pretty much self explanitory.
They are editing their answer.
But most of the time, like when I do it, Im replying back to feedback that someone wrote me.

They're just editing their question(s) because they had something else to say. Or, they could be just answering back on the feedback you have written them. ♥

If someone answers your qestion, but they left something out, then they will edit .

Everyone else has answered you correctly. I just want to add that an edit like the one Yish mentions
will get an account banned if caught. So if you see or get something like that in an edit (or feedback)
file an abuse report.

whenever people want to edit their answer, that usually means they might've forgotten to add something, got a new idea of what to answer, or they're replying to somebodys feedback. i hope i helepd.

It means that they went back and changed their answer in some way.

It happens some after feedback is given, or if they feel they have left something out or maybe misspelled something.
