insult? or not?

Question Posted Tuesday August 29 2006, 8:33 pm

ok so i was hanging out with some friends (girls).. and some of our guy friends were outside, so we went out there to meet them. we had just come in from the pool and we had our bathing suits on, with like towels around our bottoms. and this one guy said to me "is that a new bra- i mean bikini?"

is that an insult? or like what was he trying to say?..

As everyone else said, I think he didn't mean anything. Bikini tops do look a lot like bras, and probably to most guys they are basically the same thing. So unless he was saying it in a really blatantly mean way, it's very unlikely he was trying to unsult you. He was probably just trying to nice by noticing you got a new bathing suit :)

seems like he just made a mistake, he was probably really nervous around all you girls. it was probably an honest mistake, or a really bad joke.

either way, it doesn't seem like he was trying to insult you.

It was an honest mistake it sounds like.
He was probably too caught up in looking at your guys' bikinis/bodies and that came out.

[sighs]

98.99999% of girls on here go WAY to deep with the things guys say.

What he meant to say was "Is that a new bikini?"

enough said.

I don't see how it could be an insult. He probably just made an honest mistake or just sucks at making jokes.

I'm sure this isn't an insult..
He probably made an honest mistake by saying "bra" instead of "bikini"..
He was probably really nervous when he was talking to you.. most guys get that way when they talk to girls

Hope I helped!
