masturbation?
everytime i masturbate [which isn't often], I feel so much shame.
I'm 14 and I just feel like masturbation is wrong - yet I can't help it when I have hormones. What should I do? Should I keep masturbating and keep it a secret from my mom, or just stop because I feel ashamed?

That's good that you don't do it often and I know a million teens do it practically everyday. I'm not saying its wrong or anything I don't really know but I think it's a waste of time. If your mom is as kind as mine all she would say is don't do it again. I never did it again either. I guess I control my hormones better than most people. But that's just me.

You know I'm 14 too and i was wondering the same thing for a while let me tell you one thing...dont go to you mom! she probably already knos but it's not something parents and kids really discuss just like you dont want to discuss your parents having sex! eww! it's definitly not wrong. I went to a teen site and found out that just about every teen does it and your probably feeling shame because it's something you wouldnt want to discuss with your mom. If you want you can stop but it's totally natural!

it's not really normal to share that you masturbate with your mom. if you feel ashamed, don't worry about it! masturbation is a normal thing and tonsss of people do it. it's healthy and it's nothing bad. hope i helped! :]

Masturbating is not normally something that a teen would want to tell their mom. Its really not a good idea.Because to be honest,she probalby already knows.Look, there is nothing wrong wit masturbation. It is normal and healthy. Masturbation is good... THey tell people to do it... your 14 you mom probably knows you masturbate thats an age that allot of people start cause they are getting to know there bodies... Usually most girls don't feel a bit of shame while masturbating, but after they reach an orgasm, they feel loads of shame. I guess the shame comes from the old saying "It's so fun it should be a crime" Which some people consider it to be. Your hormones are raging, and masturbating is not wrong. It's a way to alleviate stress and if anyone gives you any trouble over it, just tell them better you than another guy or something. Masturbating isn't something you usually share with your mom, and it's most likely something your mom wouldn't want you to share to begin with. So just do what you feel is right. If you feel you should quit, go for it. But just remember, it being wrong is a personal opinion that everyone needs to make for themselves.

Any person over the age of 16-17 who says they do not or have never masturbated are LYING!!! Every person on the face of the earth has tried it. It is not wrong it is totally normal. Look at it this way if it were wrong why would it feel so good and be so natural???
If you feel that your mom would not understand then you don't have to tell her, if you are in the privacy of your own room then it really is no one's business but your own. I would hope though that if you have a good relationship with your mom that you talk to her and be open and honest she would much rather be the one to talk to you about this then having someone else do the job for her!! Trust me I am a mom!

I think that you should probably keep masturbating and if you don't want your mom to know that your desition <sp> to make whether you want her to know or not but even if she did know she wouldn't bother you about it or anything. You are exploring your body.

Masturbation is normal, don't feel guilty. Alot of people do it and it's healthy, as long as it doesn't interfere with your daily life. Don't worry about it and do it if you want to.
