break up
so i broke up with my bf lastnight because when we first started dating he had these magazines and i told him i didnt like him having them so he "threw them away" he said he did that to prove he would do anything for me and that he doesnt like looking at anyone but me. well lastnight we went to his room and the pile of magazines were back again. so 1. he lied to me 2.im not the only one he likes to look at and 3. i cant trust him. was this a good reason for dumping him or was i just being stupid?

I think it was absolutely stupid for you to fight with him over something as trivial and common as nudie magazines, but he did promise to toss them and he did not follow through. Therefore, he is wrong. He should have refused to get rid of them if he didn't want to, so yes. He lied to you which mean he'll most likely do it again.

Well,its a good reason because if he lied to you once,he can do it again.Lies begin small then end up REALLY big.But as for the magazines,all guys have them.ALL GUYS.

yea it is stupid what you did but i see why. you want to be the only girl he looks at and you want him to be hionest with. think of it like this guys are always horny. with or without a girl they need something to occupy themself with and keep them happy 24/7 at least 90% of guys look at porn. (probably more) just because a guy looks at porn doesnt really mean anything. it isnt like they can get with one of those girls. so i think you should talk it out with him and give him a second chance.

You might have been over-reacting.. but not too much...
I mean.. he did LIE to you.. and a relationship should be based on trust.. and he broke that by lying to your face....
If he had to look at magazines and not you- you should find someone else to be with.. he might become the husband who cheats on you because he likes looking at other women (if that makes sense)
I think you made the right decision- because this problem could have grown and you would've been more upset than you are now

Don't beat yourself up over this, you did the right thing. If he lies to you, you shouldn't have to deal with that. So, no worries, it was a very good reason. I mean if he lied to you about that what else is he lying about?
