naturally_sadie answered Tuesday August 15 2006, 9:12 pm: Honestly, I don't think there's really any jobs that hire people at such a young age. I'm 13 as well and I was looking for a job too, and I haven't found anything yet.
But, you could always have your own little "business" haha.
Babysitting - You make A LOT of money and if the kid is good, then it's pretty easy. Also, free food!!
Lawn mowing - Everyone needs someone to mow their lawn! Might be pretty boring though, but if people you know like your neighbors hire you then you'll make good money.
Bake sale - Bake cookies and cakes and pies and stuff like that and sell them. It's a pretty easy thing to do but once I tried it and no one came so I sat out in the hott sun for 3 days and made NO MONEY!! Haha, but you might have better luck.
Lemonade stand - Classic! Had to say it because I used to love lemonade stands. Maybe try learning how to make frozen lemonade and you will get more customers.
Yard sale - Any old toys or clothes or any junk around your house you could sell. Put up signs so people know, maybe even an add in the paper?! Even if the stuff is crap, remember another man's trash is another man's treasure.
Rake leaves - Only good in the fall though.
That's all I could think of so I hope that is good enough.

vermillion26 answered Tuesday August 15 2006, 6:39 pm: Most bissnuess don't hire people as young as you, which can be unfair because some 13 year olds are extremely responsible. I think generally the youngest age for hiring is 14, but you cac check around. When I was 13 I got a booth at a fall fair through a friend and sold jewlery and clothing that I made. You could babysit, walk dogs, mow lawns, shovel driveways is the winter, offer to help neighbors in the garden/cooking. Ask your parents if they know anyone who need chores done or children looked after, chances are that they have friends who could use some help. When my friend was about your age she would bake cookies and sell them either door to door or at a bake sale. There are lots of things that need doing, think about your talents and use them to your advantage. If you are going door to door be careful, its best to go through family friends. My dad had a private practise and I used to file for him and organize his office or babysit for his clients for pay. I hope you find something, good luck.
duudee_advicer answered Tuesday August 15 2006, 6:21 pm: Some select private owned places can hire at age 14. I've never heard of one hiring at age 13 though.
If you parent/ relative/ neighbor has a buisness I'm sure they could pay you to help out in some way.
Othe then that, try
Babysitting.
Lawn care.
Pet sitting.
House cleaning for neighbors.
Bringing in mail/papers to neighbors.
Jewlrey making.
Lemonade stand :) hah.
If you can do crafty stuff such
as painting, knitting, etc.
